Bowser vs Eggman

"I'm my own boss, my own editor, my own shooter, my own writer, everything. This is all stuff I learned through trial and error... failing at a lot of things has taught me how to succeed at them eventually... you roll with the punches."

King Bowser, King of the Koopa's and Mario's greatest rival of Super Mario Brothers

Doctor Eggman, The Eggheaded Scientific Genius and hated foe of Sonic The Hedgehog of...er....Sonic The Hedgehog

Gaming has held numerous amounts of hero's, and each have had a big bad boss to stand in their way, whether it be reincarnated knights facing the demon king, soldiers fighting their superiors, or Kong's fighting against Croc's, each have faced off in a battle to determine the fate of the world...or banana's, that's important too.

But today we're looking at gaming most well known and determined villains. They've taken L's multiple times, but no matter what befalls them, they always come back stronger than ever to best their rival and impose their wills upon the world, and if they lose, don't expect for them to stay down for long. But today were gonna figure out who really is the biggest of the baddest bosses, will Bowser lay down his fury and leave the good Doctor cracked, or will Eggman leave the King of The Koopa boiled and heavy..........yeah that wasn't a good pun but who cares, it's time for a DEATH BATTLE!

Before we get started....

Okay we gotta get this outta of the way, what both are getting. Were giving Bowser everything from the canon platformer Mario series, Mario Kart, Mario Party, Yoshi's Games, Luigi Mansion, Donkey Kong, Sports Mix,  Mario Maker, Wario, Mario and Luigi, Mario + Rabbids, and.....Paper Mario. I know some of you might be confused by some of those, including Paper Mario, my sources for this came from Corn Dog's blog for Mario Canon, really good blog btw.

Eggman is a little more straightforward, the mainline platformer games, Free Riders, Sonic Team Racing, Battle, Advance Trilogy, Rush Trilogy, IDW, Tails Tube, OtherWorld Comedy, and Chronicles. I know Chronicles might be sketchy due to y'know...Penders Pendering, but it was intended to expand on the lore of the series so I find it viable, like Star Wars Legends, however I do know not everyone will buy that since the Encyclo-speed-ia (which is also being used), considered it non-canon, so if you want to ignore it than that's fine.

I also want to shout out Igneous, Dark Behemoth, Ishi_Yuki, Kirbonic, and Corn Dog again for their blogs, as it helped a lot with this blog, and tbh I probably couldn't do it without their research.

Alright with that being said...LETS GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD!

Background

Bowser

"Finally! You got here just in time to see the creation of my galaxy in the center of the universe! WATCH AND WEEP! From this galaxy, I'll rule a great galactic empire with Peach by my side. It will last forever! I will rule every pitiful corner of the universe. So, Mario, as you can see, I got big plans. And stomping you is at the top of my list!"

Born and raised by Kamek on Yoshi's Island, The King Of The Koopa's was born for greatness, as he was one of the seven Star Children, babies who feel from the stars and contain "an extraordinary amount of power". It would also seem young Bowser was destined for evil too, at a young age he was kidnapping babies and messing with Yoshi's, but each time a pair of brothers, Mario and Luigi, would always be there to stop him even when his villainous ways got more nastier and meaner. The King of The Koopas's would grow up and turn the citizens of The Mushroom Kingdom into bricks, stones, and plants. Not only that, Bowser would kidnap the Princess, Peach. Originally, it was due to the fact that her magic could reverse his own, but in time Bowser genuinely fell in love with her, to the point that he wanted to marry her.

But no matter how may times he kidnapped her and schemed to take over The Mushroom Kingdom, The Mario Bro's would always be there to stop him. However, Bowser is nothing but tenacious, and no matter how many times he fails, he'd always come back stronger and with a new scheme in mind. It should be noted however, that while Bowser is a bad guy, he is not....bad guy. Despite his rivalry with Mario, he's not above working with him if it's for the good of his kingdom and the world, he's a genuinely great father, and despite his multiple failed attempts to conquer The Mushroom Kingdom, they don't mind inviting him for sports, party games, or Kart Racing, and usually he's a good sport about it (usually).

So watch out, cause Bowser doesn't plan on giving up, he won't stop till he stomped out the Mario Bros and their allies, conquer the Mushroom Kingdom, and finally earn the love of his PEACHES, PEACHES, PEACHES, PEACHES, PEACHES.

Experience and Intelligence

Let's get this outta the way, Bowser is not dumb, quite the opposite actually, while he does have his moments of buffoonery, Bowser is quite brilliant. Bowser has  built giant battle mechs of himself armed with various powerful weaponsas well as a massive space station that can operate beside the Sun. He played up the dumb brute role to successfully trick Antasma and take the Dream Stone for himself, the latter of which was an incredibly calculating and careful individual. He successfully runs an entire kingdom and army, having set up complete tyranny on global and even galactic scales that were only thwarted by the intervention of Mario. Bowser made a bubble machine that could trap the fun of the Party Islands and create duplicates of various Mario characters as well as a perfect copy of himself that he constantly used to trick the heroes in order to catch them off guard later. He earned a doctorate and is able to cure various diseases and viruses with his own specially created medicine. Claimed to have an IQ of 9,800 before revealing to have created sentient lifeforms in his lab. Bowser created a dark matter plant that could produce a near endless supply of dark matter that erases whatever it touches from existence. Finally, Bowser is responsible for the creation of a reactor that could form an entire galaxy. Safe to say, Bowser is quite smart.

As far as experience goes, Bowser got plenty of it. He's been big badding since childhood, even able to work alongside his future self as a baby. He's able to match Mario blow for blow, a martial arts expert Jinx, and Rosalina who's hundreds of years old.

Abilities

Fire Breath

The King of the Koopa's most well known ability, his ability to spit fire. Bowser will breathe fire either in large streams or individual large fireballs. He also uses this move to make a fiery rain and breath different colored fire that has unique effects such as breathing blue fireballs that homes onto his target. Bowser have occasionally shown to be even embed his physical attacks such as claw swipes and tail whips with fire. In Mario Tennis, for his Special Shot he roars and begins breathing a stream of flames on his racket, setting it on fire. He then jumps high and quickly spins in the air while leaving trails of fire before hitting the ball.

Fire Storm

Bowser breathes a large stream of fire that acts as a whip. Hitting opponents with it cause them to be cloaked in fire, run uncontrollably, and reverse their normal movements.

K.O./Dashing Punch

Bowser will charge up his fist with some form of energy before unleashing a devastating punch on his opponent, as his K.O Punch. With his Dashing Punch, Bowser will slide forwards as if he were on ice at high speeds while holding his fist out.

Spiked Shell

Like the Koopa Troopas, Bowser can retreat into his shell and start spinning around at high speeds and ramming into the opponent. He can shoot spikes from his claws or shell at his opponent.

Shockwaves

Bowser will stomp or hit the ground so hard, he will generate shockwaves. The shockwaves will occasionally have an electric or fiery effect.

Fury

A double-edged status alignment that activates when Bowser takes several hits, glowing red and roaring upon activation. All of his attacks will double in power but he also receives double the damage from his opponents as well.

Ground Pound

Introduced in Super Mario Bros. 3, the Ground Pound is a move usually executed by crouching in midair, but it is sometimes used by pressing the jump button twice instead (usually in Mario Party minigames). When the move is used, the character slams their rear end on the ground, which can cause many results. Bowser is no exception, as he's also shown to perform a Ground Pound should the need arise.

Brawl Attacks

Brawl Attacks: Brawl Attacks, originally called Special Attacks and similar to Bros. Attack, are special moves that only appear in Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story and its 3DS remake, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Journey. Bowser is able to use these, with each Brawl Attack using a certain amount of Brawl Points.

  • Goomba Storm: Bowser will summon a group of Goombas and send them charging towards the opponent, he can also set many of them on fire which sends them into the air before crashing down on the opponent dealing more damage.
  • Shy Guy Squad: Bowser will summon a group of Shy Guys and contort himself into a spiked ball, the Shy Guys will then push him against a rope building up momentum before letting him go, causing Bowser to get sent hurtling towards his opponent at high speeds.
  • Koopa Corps: Bowser will summon a group of Koopa Troopas and all of them (Including Bowser himself) duck into their shells and start spinning, with Bowser ricocheting the Koopas into the opponent.
  • Bob-omb Blitz: Bowser will summon a group of Bob-ombs who he'll command to huddle together before they run into and explode on the opponent.
  • Magikoopa Mob: Bowser will summon a group of Magikoopas who will start charging uo energy in their wands, while they're charging Bowser will shoot fireballs into their wands which the Magikoopas will then supercharge and fire at the opponent.
  • Broggy Bonkers: Bowser will summon Broggy and start to clean her to prepare her to attack the opponent, once ready she'll ram into the opponent with the Blittles following suit and also ramming into them.

Inside Story Shell's

Able to swap out his normal shell for many more, in Bowser Inside Story, these shells give Bowser's advantages his normal one doesn't have.

  • Armored ShellIncreases Bowser’s defense by 80 points, and doubles his defense when he is badly hurt.
  • Blazing ShellIncreases health by 20 and defense by 90, and it burns the enemy when they touch it.
  • Command ShellIncreases BP by 10 and defense by 120, and it increases the power of a random Brawl Attack, and reduces the BP used.
  • Divine ShellIncreases BP by 30 and defense by 200, and it automatically recovers health and BP throughout the battle.
  • Dream ShellIncreases health by 40 and defense by 180, and increases the strength of Bowser’s punches (likely extends to all physical attacks).
  • Golden ShellIncreases defense by 8, doesn’t do much but looks really cool.
  • Ironclad ShellIncreases defense by 300 and increases the strength of Bowser’s critical and lucky hits.
  • Judge ShellIncreases defense by 70 and turns Bowser’s fury into power.
  • Lightweight ShellIncreases defense by 60 and increases speed by a small amount.
  • Rampage ShellIncreases power by 10 and defense by 100, and enrages Bowser immediately, activating Fury (will be covered later).
  • Rock ShellIncreases BP by 10 and defense by 95, and completely blocks all status effects.
  • Royal ShellIncreases defense by 8, the default Shell at the beginning of the game with nothing special.
  • Safety ShellIncreases defense by 50 and reduces all damage dealt to Bowser.
  • Special ShellIncreases defense by 30 and completely blocks Bowser from being dizzy.
  • Stamina ShellIncreases health by 70 and defense by 90, and increases health under normal circumstances and defense when badly hurt.
  • Wicked ShellIncreases power by 30 and defense by 230, and enrages Bowser immediately, activating Fury.

Flight

That is the goofiest flying I've seen from any fictional character in my life.... oh wait forgot Leia Poppins nvm.

Teleportation

Our boy Bowser has the ability of teleportation. He can teleport in the middle of the fight or long distances away from the fight.

Gravity Manipulation

Up, up, up and away, this king can manipulate gravity! He's used it to take himself and Mario to another planet.

Transmutation

Probably due to his use of Dark Magic, Bowser holds the ability to transmutate others like Toads, he turns a Koopa into a Frog, Egglings into apples.

Electricity Manipulation

The Vacuum Block allows Bowser to use the Vacuum Shroom's power offensively. Bowser can use it to uncover the hidden Blitties from enemies during battle (that are needed for Bowser to gain the Broggy Bonker Special Attack) and to steal various helpful items or other objects like lollipops from Chuboombas that recover HP, teeth from Crawfuls and body segments from Toothies that boost his defense, and the meat seen in the second Midbus battle to boost his attack power. Additionally, it can be used to inhale some entire monsters like Coalbits, the Stone Blooper and Snawfuls, forcing the Mario Bros. to fight them in Bowser's body. This last function is featured heavily in the final battle with Dark Bowser and the Dark Star Core; after releasing the Dark Fawful Bug from Dark Bowser's body, Bowser can inhale it so Mario and Luigi can battle it inside his body and defeat it so Bowser can finish off Dark Bowser. Bowser will also earn experience points from any enemies that he inhales and are defeated by the Mario Bros., who only earn experience points for enemies that were inhaled.

In the remake, if Bowser is inflicted with Sick, he will lose the ability to inhale.

Magic

  • Bowser Crush: Bowser will create a giant green Mechakoopa to stampede over his opponents.
  • Illusionary Hats: Bowser will create illusionary hats to throw at his opponent, despite being illusions they can physically harm anyone they touch.
  • Endless Distance: Bowser will distort and manipulate the very fabric of space itself to create what seems to be an infinite amount of distance. Using this technique,Bowser will create a spatial loop that traps his targets at the start leaving them unable to get near him.
  • Bowser Curse: Bowser will place a curse on his target that will allow him to control their movements, having been shown to make them take steps they didn't mean or want too, or force them to turn around and walk in the opposite direction.
Regeneration/Immortality

This motherfucker Bowser won't die, no matter whatcha do, impressive really, it just goes to show how tenacious Bowser truly is, The Hands Of Death Could Not Defeat Him, The Sisters Of Fate Could Not Hold Him. And Mario Will Not Live To See The End Of This Day! Ahem, sorry, lost myself for a bit there. Any way, Bowser healing factor is quite formidable, he's been sliced into multiple pieces of paper, put himself back together, and more importantly he is seemingly immortal. He can live on as a Skeleton, survive being turned into a... star? He's shown to have infinite lives (which are canon), and his reign has been implied to last 10,000 years.

Time Travel

Manipulate the Plot

Shit man, this is only the abilities section and Bowser can do all this! We haven't even gotten into his equipment yet! That's besides the point, Bowser shown that he he can manipulate the plot to a degree, he can change the plot of the story, he actually tapped someone to the plot (somehow), this allowed him to steal The Star Rod from the Star Sprits, who themselves said this wasn't supposed to happen and that Bowser was changing the story.

Other abilities:

Resistances:

  • Extreme Cold and Cosmic Radiation: Unaffected by the radiation of space and black holes.

Equipment

(oh boy here we go)

Hammers

Wedding Hat

Bowser dapper suit comes with a hat that he'll wear to his and Peach's (eventual) wedding, where he will be sacrificing people in her honor. This hat comes equipped with boxing gloves, he can throw them for an attack and make duplicates with his magic.

Powerups

Bowzooka and Sparks

The Bowzooka is Bowser main weapon of choice in Mario+Rabbids, it shoots projectiles that makes an explosion once it makes contact.

Sparks are a hybrid species of Lumas and Rabbids that appear in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. They resemble Lumas, but with a Rabbid's face and ears. They come in a variety of colors and designs, with some being larger than others, and each has their own powers. During the game's story, Cursa sends her army to capture the Sparks in order to absorb their energy, among which a special group of minions called the Spark Hunters, and Mario and his team set out to rescue them.

Prior to the events of the game, Sparks were created as fusions between Lumas and Rabbids caused by an energy blast at the Comet Observatory as Rosalina was fending off Cursa.

Each Spark that is used in battle has two abilities that are bestowed on the Hero that equips it: an active ability called a Power that a Hero can use in battle as a menu selection, and a passive ability called a Bonus. Powers are unique to each Spark and can be used to either augment the Heroes' weapons and abilities, healing the Heroes, attacking enemies, and other abilities. Bonuses can enhance the Hero's attack power, increase defenses from damage taken, and other abilities. Some Bonuses are shared by other Sparks. The player can improve both of a Spark's abilities at once by raising its levels with Star Bits from the Sparks menu.

Initially, each Hero can only use one Spark, but can be allowed to use two after clearing the Cold Mouth of the Mountain Quest in the game's second world Pristine Peaks.

Each Spark joins the party at LVL 1, and has a maximum LVL of 5. Initially, the player can only raise their levels to 2: only after the Heroes' LVL reaches a certain number can the player unlock the next: LVL 9 for LVL 3; LVL 15 for LVL 4; and LVL 21 for LVL 5. In The Tower of Doooom DLC, the Hero LVL requirements for reach LVLs 3-5 are LVLs 4, 7, and 10. In The Last Spark Hunter DLC, all Sparks available for the player are at LVL 4, including those that join the party, and can be upgraded to LVL 5 at any time. In Rayman in the Phantom Show, all Sparks from the main game and The Last Spark Hunter are available from the start. They all start at LVL 1, and their maximum level is LVL 3, which they can reach once the heroes are at LVL 5.

Minimizer

The Minimizer is a magical staff that Bowser only uses during the events of Mario Party DS. In the beginning of the Story mode, Bowser shows Mario and the crew the Minimizer and shrinks them down, similar to the Mini Mushroom's effect. This allowed Bowser to take Mario's Sky Crystal

Sparks of Hope Items

Other Vehicles:

  • Koopa Chase: A vehicle that appears in Super Mario 3D World and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. It is a purple muscle car with gold plating, spikes on the top, and hubcaps, with a Bowser hood ornament at the front. The car initially moves slowly, but it moves faster and faster when damaged and when the player catches up with it. The car is also able to jump without the driver's input. With the exception of The Great Tower of Bowser Land, Bowser's Muscle Car is Bowser's main weapon and mode of transportation in the game. It first appears in Bowser's Highway Showdown, where Bowser rides it for the duration of his boss fight. Bowser shoots fireballs and tosses Kick Bombs from the car to attack the player, the latter of which can be kicked back to damage the car. After enough hits, the car is destroyed, and Bowser is blasted away.
  • Air Ships: An Airship  is a large, propeller and Burner-driven ship that can soar through the sky. The Airships' designs and sizes vary from game to game, taking the form of either a wooden ship or a metal ship, and they are most commonly equipped with cannons, Bullet Bills and Bob-ombs. Bowser also possesses his own Airship, as seen in New Super Mario Bros. U and Super Mario Odyssey, where Princess Peach is held captive as she is taken away to Bowser's Castle.
  • Tank: Tanks are large, segmented, and heavily armed land vehicles utilized by Bowser and his armies in various games. They are usually equipped with various artillery, such as cannonsRocket EnginesBob-omb launchers, and Rocky Wrenches.
  • Koopa Cruiser: The Koopa Cruiser was Bowser's transport/dropship in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time. It is used to transfer troops, sentries, and high ranking government officials like the Koopalings or the King himself. An early version of this that was designed by Baby Bowser appeared in Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time but was demoted in later classes to medium transports most likely that because of how the early Koopa Cruisers were only armed with a single rear cannon, and were noticeably small.
  • Koopa King: From Mario Kart: Double Dash!!, it has good speed and weight and poor acceleration. It reappears in Mario Kart Tour.
  • Tyrant: From Mario Kart DS, it has good speed and weight, average drift, and poor acceleration and handling.
  • Standard BW: From Mario Kart DS, it has good speed and drift, average weight, and poor acceleration and handling.
  • Hurricane: From Mario Kart DS, it has good speed and drift, average weight, and poor acceleration and handling.

Power Stars

Power Stars, also referred to as Stars, are collectible items introduced in Super Mario 64 that can grant Mario access to more levels in-game, unlike the similar-looking Super Stars, which only give brief invincibility. In Super Mario 64, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario Galaxy 2, when the Star for any given level has been collected, playing the level again turns the Star into a translucent version of itself (similar to how Star Coins work). This Star can be collected, but it does not add to the player's total Star count. While Power Stars themselves do not appear in Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario 3D Land, and Super Mario 3D World, the Shine Sprites, Star Medals, and Green Stars work similarly, unlocking levels should enough be collected.

The Jumbo Star is a Power Star-like object that appears in Super Mario 64 and its Nintendo DS version. In the latter version, it beams with light, emitting sparkles and a rainbow ring. The Jumbo Star can be obtained by defeating Bowser in the final Bowser level, Bowser in the Sky. After being defeated, Bowser vanishes, revealing the Star.

Grand Stars

Grand Stars are large and powerful Power Stars sometimes appearing in the Super Mario franchise. In Super Mario Galaxy, their first appearance, Grand Stars are used to provide power to the six domes onboard the Comet Observatory, thereby allowing the player to reach more galaxies as the events of the game progress. In Super Mario Galaxy 2, Grand Stars still allow the player to reach more and more galaxies, but they now provide direct access to the next World via their transformation into a Portal instead.

Bowser's mech is a robot that appears in Mario Party: Star Rush. It is a large mech that takes on Bowser's appearance and is also piloted by Bowser himself.

Shell form

  • The mech is shown to be able to travel at incredible speeds across space.
  • The mech can shoot its spikes like rockets at its targets.
Bowser form
  • The mech can summon a cannon from its back (where the cockpit used to be) and shoot out spiked balls.
  • Some of the spiked balls can be red.
  • Similar to Bowser himself, the mech can shoot giant fireballs from its mouth. The pipe where the fireballs come out of can actually be seen. Unlike Bowser, the mech's fireballs are blue, similar to Dry Bowser.
  • The mech can shoot its claws like rockets. This is similar to the spikes of its shell form, but much bigger and easier to get hit by.
  • The mech can shoot lasers out of its eyes. Before they shoot, the eyes glow pink, signaling that it is about to fire.

Pixls

Pixls are an ally species of Mario and company. Their first, and currently only, appearance is in Super Paper Mario, where they serve as a replacement for the partner system of the previous Paper Mario titles. In Super Paper Mario, the Pixls help Mario, Princess Peach, Bowser and Luigi by giving them special moves, like picking up items or enemies and throwing them, serving as explosives, or even acting as a floating platform for Mario and the others to ride on. The name "Pixl" comes from the word "pixel", the smallest possible portion of an image, and may also be a reference to "pixie", another name for a fairy, which gives the Pixls their name in Japan, Fairin. When Super Paper Mario was still in production and no official English name for the Pixls was known, game journalism websites called them "Fairens", based on their Japanese name.

Bowser Galaxy Generator

Bowser's Galaxy Generator is a galaxy in the game Super Mario Galaxy 2. It is located in World 6 and is the last galaxy of this world. Bowser is fought here for the final time. The entire galaxy appears to take place inside a giant, foggy hallway; this is likely somewhere inside the giant Bowser head that forms the galaxy's exterior.

Bubble Clone Machine

Made from some type of machine, Bowser made clones of the Mario Cast cause he was jealous he that he was not invited to Party Island...yes I'm serious. It can create copies of the person facing it (and others). The copies are perfect, including one made of Bowser. It was destroyed tho.

Pure Hearts

The Pure Hearts are powerful artifacts created by the Tribe of Ancients in Super Paper Mario. All eight Pure Hearts are pieces of the Purity Heart, and they were created by the Ancients using the power of love, which was believed to be the only force powerful enough to save all worlds from destruction.

The Pure Hearts were created as part of the prophecies detailed in the Light Prognosticus, which state that four Heroes of Light must gather all eight of them in order to counteract the Chaos Heart and defeat the one who wields it. When placed in a Heart Pillar, each Pure Heart leads to a dimension where the next one is located, through a series of doors at the top of Flipside Tower. The Pure Hearts are eight pieces of the whole Purity Heart, which was divided into the Pure Hearts by the Ancients so it could be hidden across different dimensions.

The first Pure Heart is held by a descendant of the Ancients named Merlon, who gives it to Mario, the first of the four heroes, with the task of traveling through dimensions in order to gather the other seven and stop Count Bleck from destroying all worlds using The Void. (If Mario refuses to accept this Pure Heart, this results in a Game Over.) During his journey, Mario eventually comes to reunite with Princess Peach, Bowser, and Luigi, all of whom are proven to be the remaining three Heroes of Light, and together, the four of them manage to collect all eight Pure Hearts and travel to Castle Bleck to battle against Count Bleck, the holder of the Chaos Heart.

Despite the immense power of the Pure Hearts, they are not indestructible, and can be weakened--for example, the Violet Pure Heart was turned to stone upon being consumed by The Void along with the rest of Sammer's Kingdom. It was revitalized by Queen Jaydes of The Underwhere, using her power over life and death. In addition, the power of the Pure Hearts is depleted after they are used to break through the Chaos Heart's protection over Count Bleck, though they are all revitalized by Bleck's minions.

At the end of the game, Dimentio, having stolen the Chaos Heart for himself, uses the last of his power to sustain the Chaos Heart long enough to ensure the destruction of every world. In their final moments, Count Bleck and Tippi--now revealed to be long-lost lovers Lord Blumiere and Lady Timpani--reaffirm their love for each other, sacrificing themselves in order to save all worlds; their vows manage to unite the Pure Hearts into the whole Purity Heart, destroying the Chaos Heart and reversing the prophecy of destruction.

Wonder Flower

Wonder Flowers have a light green stem and leaves, and their petals are blue with pulsating petals, with a white centre and black eyes. Collecting one triggers Wonder Effects, capable of altering level mechanics or transforming the player's character.

With just a single touch of the mysterious Wonder Flower, Bowser merged with Prince Florian's castle. Thanks to his newfound power, chaos spread across the land.

Lucien

Lucien is an ancient tennis racket with the power to control people. It appears as the main antagonist of Adventure Mode in Mario Tennis Aces. By using its power, Bowser can merge with it to become Bowcien.

Barrels and Spike Balls.

Background

Doctor Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik

Long ago on the planet Mobius (or is it Earth? Still not clear on that), The great scientist Dr. Gerald Robotnik created The Ultimate Life form, Shadow The Hedgehog in hopes that Shadow would not only bring good to humanity but also cure his granddaughter Maria of her fatal illness. However, due to the suspicious help he had in creating Shadow, The Government would raid Gerald's research Ark, killing everyone on board, including his granddaughter and sending Gerald to prison, and later on executing him (by firing squad no less, Sonic 3 you better show me Maria death and an old man being executed). His family would mourn his and Maria death greatly, however none more than the young Ivo Robotnik. While somewhat jealous of the attention his older cousin received, Ivo was enraged at the injustice done to his family. Inspired by his Grandfather work, and with his own great scientific mind, Ivo would have his revenge against the government by doing one thing....taking over the world. Gathering critters and stuffing them into his robots called Badniks, Robotnik would begin his conquest of the world by building his dream land, Robotnikland and gathering The Chaos Emeralds.

And he would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for that meddling teenaged Hedgehog, Sonic. Sonic would put a stop to his plans, over, and over, and over again, it's like his job or something. Sonic and friends would even take to calling him "Eggman", to his annoyance (though eventually he would accept the moniker himself). However, despite all that, Robotnik's tenaciousness would always propel him to try another scheme, and despite his immense hatred for The Blue Blur, he does have somewhat of a respect for the hedgehog, enough to work with him when the world is in danger, one such time was when it was revealed that his dearly departed Grandfather planned to annihilate the planet with The Ark, leaving Ivo  somewhat puzzled and deeply saddened, wondering if his Grandfather truly meant to destroy the Earth, including himself. No matter, however, Ivo would continue in his quest for world domination by any means necessary.

However, despite Eggman's evil, he does have somewhat of a fondness for his foe and their rivalry, he still respects and looks up to his Grandfather despite his sins, and recently he's started to his accept his role as a father to his creations, in particular, Metal Sonic and Sage. Despite all that, while Eggman does have redeeming qualities he is still extremely ruthless and won't hesitate to destroy his foes, so stay alert because no matter how many times Sonic defeats him, this egg shaped egghead won't quite till his most hated foe and allies are defeated, and he finally rules the world, and who knows, maybe, just maybe, one of these days he might come out victorious, and we'll just have to hope and pray that Dr. Eggman has mercy on us all.

Experience and Intellect

Eggman is extremely smart, inheriting his Grandfather's big brain, and consistently called the smartest man alive with his smarts in robotic engineering being unrivaled., this includes people like Tails. Our Egghead posses an IQ of 300, and his actions proves it. He created Sage, Eggman's most advanced AI that successfully integrated herself within Cyber Space, and managed to restore her code even after she was destroyed (though that event may not have happened due to Final Horizon making it that Sage never died). Eggman built a large empire of advanced machines and robots which have varied purposes, with his technology far surpassing modern weaponry.

He has constructed machines capable of draining energy from sources of power greater than the Chaos Emeralds, granting enough power to slice through dimensions and essentially warp reality. Created a ray powerful enough to place the entire planet under mind control. Has made devices capable of forging miniature stars. Developed a method of turning harmless woodland critters into dangerous robots which serve him. Created the Final Egg Blaster, a weapon which has a laser powerful enough to destroy multiple star systems in a single blast. Created weaker prototypes of the Phantom Ruby, which were still capable of warping reality to a limited degree. He's regarded by Doctor Starline as the greatest scientific mind in the world.

He was even able to escape White Space, a broken realm between dimensions that holds Sonic's universe together and where areas that have been torn from their place in space-time by the Time Eater are sent to. There are no internal sounds inside White Space with the exception of the sound of wind blowing and, according to Eggman, this realm lacks any form of time, yet he escaped with no tech or anything it seems, he just did somehow.

As experience goes, Eggman's got tons of them as he fought Sonic and friends for years now, commanded entire armies, and helped in battles against monsters, cosmic threats, and even dark god's. Eggman's a well rounded guy all things considered.

Equipment

Rings

The Rings also known as the Gold Ringis an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. Rings serve as a unique health system in gameplay throughout most of the series; in most cases, as long as the players hold even one Ring, it will protect them from losing a life upon taking damage. Instead, the players lose a portion of their Rings, though the amount varies between games. Aside from this, Rings have served many other purposes in different games, and collecting them grants bonuses like extra lives, continues and points.

Item Box

Item Boxes, also referred to as Video MonitorsItem CapsulesTVs, and simply Monitors are commonplace objects littered throughout various locations across the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series. They have served as the traditional power-ups of the series since the very beginning, having taken on several different appearances and names since then, but their utilization has often remained the same.

Classic Era:

Innate

  • Small Size: For the capsules themselves, which are shorter than Classic Sonic.
  • Power Bestowal: When hit, they grant the user with a self-contained power ups.

Defensive

  • Pain Manipulation & likely Death Manipulation: When breaking open a Robotnik Item Box, it deals the same amount of damage to the user as a Badnik. Hitting with a shield power up will take it away, hitting it with rings will cause them to be dropped, and breaking it open without rings will kill the playable character.

Eggmobile

The Eggmobile, is a vehicle that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It is a hovercraft created and very frequently piloted by Doctor Eggman as a personal means of transportation. The Egg Mobile is known for its versatility, being capable of travelling across all types of terrain and being armed with several weapons of its own. Its most enduring feature is its compatibility with Eggman's various vehicles and creations and serves as well as an escape pod when they are inevitably defeated by Sonic and his allies.

  • Technology Manipulation and Hacking: The Eggmobile has a signal that it can send to his robots that can disable jamming signals, such as when he used it to retake both Metal Sonic and Metal Knuckles from Heavy King's control.

Glasses/Goggles

Egg Walker

The Eggwalker has quite a modular design, making it possible to equip it with various upgrades. The Large Cannon and Laser Blaster greatly amplifies the power of its ammunition, the Jet Engine allows it to hover in midair, and the Protective Armor enhances its defense.

Whisp

Abilities:

  • Color Powers: Color Powers are unique abilities that come in the form of various transformations that Wisps themselves can undergo. Wisps can also allow other characters to utilize their powers, most notably Sonic the Hedgehog. However, said transformations require a steady supply of Hyper-go-on to be maintained.
  • Black Bomb: Using the power of a Black Wisp, the user transforms into an ever-growing bomb that progressively gets larger as the user takes out more enemies. As they grow, the blast they detonate gets larger as well.
  • Blue Cube: Using the power of a Blue Wisp, the user transforms into a perfectly shaped blue cube. When transformed into the Blue Cube, they can emit large and destructive shockwaves by slamming into the ground that cause massive damage to those caught within them.
  • Crimson Eagle: Using the power of a Crimson Wisp, the user turns into a crimson-colored eagle-like figure that brings easy access to the sky unhindered, allowing for faster-paced flight in comparison to Green Hover.
  • Cyan Laser: Using the power of a Cyan Wisp, the user transforms into a cyan laser beam. As the Cyan Laser, they gain the same properties as that of a real laser, allowing them to move as a living beam of light. When hitting any surfaces as the Cyan Laser, they can bounce off them as if they were reflective surfaces. It can be used for quick traversal across the battlefield or for devastating impacts when ramming into enemies.
  • Green Hover: Using the power of a Green Wisp, the user turns into a green hovercraft. As the Green Hover, the user gains the power of flight that allows them to fly leisurely through midair and let out small pulses of energy to damage enemies. They can also make direct contact with enemies to harm them.
  • Gray Quake: Using the power of a Grey Wisp, the user transforms into a grey iron ball with yellow eyes. As the Gray Quake, the user's body density is greatly increased and makes them so heavy that jumping or falling down on the ground can create destructive shockwaves. The Gray Quake also possesses wall-crawling abilities, allowing Sonic to scale walls despite his weight in this form.
  • Indigo Asteroid: Using the power of an Indigo Wisp, the user turns into an orb-shaped body with striped indigo skin and a matching planetary ring encircling his middle. As the Indigo Asteroid, the user essentially becomes a miniature planet with a strong gravitational field. They are as such capable of creating a powerful gravitational pull around themselves, strong enough yank surrounding objects and enemies into themselves, subsequently transmuting the captured matter into life-less material for their ring system. Additionally, the gathered matter can be used to empower the gravitational pull. The Indigo Asteroid also grants users the ability to levitate through midair.
  • Ivory Lightning: Using the power of an Ivory Wisp, the user transforms into a living, straw-colored lightning bolt. As the Ivory Lightning, users gain the same properties as that of a real lightning bolt. Associated with this form, users can move at lightning-fast speeds and with acrobatic movements as living electricity. They also obtain electrokinetic abilities in this form, giving him the ability to either form threads of electricity that he can use to either electrocute enemies or connect themselves to targets as tethers.
  • Magenta Rhythm: Using the power of a Magenta Wisp, the user turns into a large magenta-colored eighth note. When in this form, they are able to bounce on air that allows them to move throughout it in semi-flight.
  • Orange Rocket: Using the power of an Orange Wisp, the user turns into a stubby orange rocket with six fins arranged in a regular hexagon on the rear. As the Orange Rocket, they can create powerful jet propulsion from their back to launch themselves forward through midair at incredible speeds.
  • Pink Spikes: Using the power of a Pink Wisp, the user turns into a hot pink spiky ball. As the Pink Spikes, users gain long, razor-sharp and extremely durable spikes on his body. By inserting these spikes into a surface, they can stick perfectly firm to any surface, allowing him to climb up walls and along ceilings. The spikes can also be used offensively by using them to pierce opponents. It can also be used to augment the making it much more powerful than normal.
  • Purple Frenzy: Using the power of a Purple Wisp, the user turns into a flowing purple, demonic-looking chomper that constantly gives off a dark and thick aura. As the Purple Frenzy, they gain a powerful jaw that can chew and consume any matter they bite off and add it to its own mass, allowing the Purple Frenzy to grow larger for each bite until reaching maximum size. When reaching maximum size, the Purple Frenzy also gains a suction breath that lets the user suck in smaller objects not too heavy or rooted to the ground.
  • Red Burst: Using the power of a Red Wisp, the user turns into a red fireball that constantly gives off an aura of flames. As the Red Burst, users obtain pyrokinetic abilities. They are able to form a shield of flames around themselves that instantly incinerate anything it touches, and they can create explosions of fire by combusting into flames without inflicting harm on themselves. These explosions can be channeled to shoot the user higher into the air or be charged up to trigger large-scale and powerful explosions that destroy nearly anything within its range. In addition, the user's speed increases while using Red Burst.
  • Violet Void: Using the power of a Violet Wisp, the user turns into a large, ghastly and smoky black orb with violet outlines. As the Violet Void, users essentially become a living black hole which can draw objects into themselves from a distance and make them vanish without a trace. However, the user cannot draw in objects that are too big or heavy. Because of the Violet Void smoke-like makeup, users are granted a degree of intangibility, allowing them to pass through certain obstacles unharmed. As the Violet Void, users are also capable of flight through mid-air. Like the Purple Frenzy, the Violet Void can add the mass of the objects they draw into them, allowing users to grow larger the more they consume until they reach maximum size. Also, the more the Violet Void increases in size, the stronger its suction ability becomes, enabling users to draw in bigger and heavier objects from greater distances. At maximum size, the Violet Void can draw in objects the size of the Frigate Skullian, a massive aircraft.
  • Yellow Drill: Using the power of a Yellow Wisp, the user turns into a yellow spiral drill. As the Yellow Drill, users can burrow and tunnel underground at remarkably fast speeds. This can also be applied in underwater environments, allowing users to move as a living torpedo without the need for oxygen.
  • Final Color Blaster: All the Wisps gather together and use their combined Hyper Go-On energies in one vibrant attack.

Extractor

When activated, the Extractor sucks up the latent energy of a planet and everything on it, such as plants, animals and the air, in the form of green particles. The energy is then pulled into the Extractor and converted into a storable green liquid.

Because the world only have limited recourses of energy, if the Extractor drains too much, it will cause the landscape to turn completely white, and eventually cause everything living to wither away and die. If the Extractor were to drain a planet completely of its energy, it will completely destroy it, leaving it empty, cold and dead. Furthermore, the Extractor is unstable; if left operational for too long, its levels will fluctuate and create an unstable reaction, resulting in the Extractor locking into overload once it reaches full power. This means that the Extractor cannot be shut down manually unless the shutdown sequence is reprogramed.

Mind Control Ray

The Metal Virus

(cOWarDS rUn I fiGHt...idiot)

The Metal Virus  is an object that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic series and its spin-offs published by IDW Publishing. It was a synthetically concocted virus created by Dr. Eggman that transmutes organic matter into metallic matter. Its purpose was to turn people into robotic slaves in Eggman's army, called "Zombots". However, the virus quickly fell out of control and spread through the entirety of Earth.

Passive

  • Inorganic Physiology: It's robotic in nature.
  • Disease Manipulation & Small Size: It is a virus. By its appearances, it's likely meant to be around the same size as a Bacteriophage.

Infection via contact

Resistance to

Solaris Prototype

Eggman went on to reproduce and surpass the work of the Duke of Soleanna; using a Chaos Emerald, rather than the energies of Solaris, within his system, the Doctor was able to build a working time machine in his base at White Acropolis. He could control the flow of time, and send Team Sonic 200 years into the future.

The Death Egg

Palpatine might need to speak to his lawyer me thinks. Either way, The Death Egg is considered a "doomsday weapon" capable of destroying planets, and with the Final Egg blaster can destroy entire constellations.

It is designed to run off the energy of either the Chaos Emeralds or the Master EmeraldHowever, it has been proven that it can run off other power sources as well. The Death Egg has numerous weapons systems installed, both for outward and inward defenses. Described as heavily fortified, its hull is covered in laser turrets and its insides are filled with weaponry and traps, such as electrical currents, rocket launchers and laser cannons. Its eyes can also fire lasers hot enough to activate dormant volcanoes.

Death Egg Robot

Resembling the Good Doctor himself, it packs an incredible punch, but was extremely slow. Its thick chassis made it highly resilient to attacks and it possessed a jetpack that made it capable of flight. It could also fire its hands as projectiles and guide them back to its arms to reattach them and deploy small bombs.

In Forces it got an upgrade, one powered by the Phantom Ruby, and should be capable of the same abilities with it.

Super Egg Robo

Piloted by Eggman, this mech was stone enough to contend with Super Sonic, it can shoot a laser across the ground which erupts in columns of energy), and through circular capsules which eject from its chest, it can temporarily contain Super Sonic within them.
Egg Salamander

While it might not look all that tough, do not underestimate this machine, for it's one of Eggman's most powerful mech's. With the appearance of a lizard, created by the combined efforts of Dr. Eggman and Dr. Eggman Nega to harness the energy of the Sol Emeralds, this mech was able to hold it's own against both Super Sonic and Burning Blaze. While it required both Eggman and Nega to operate it, Eggman Badnik's, Orbot and Cubot, or Sage just by herself should be able to operate it just fine.

Egg Wizard

The Egg Wizard is a giant, wizard-theme mech that was used by Dr. Eggman and Dr. Eggman Nega to harness the Power of the Stars. With the Power of the Stars-infused Jeweled Scepter in its possession, the Egg Wizard is one of the most powerful robots ever used by Dr. Eggman and Eggman Nega (along with the Egg Salamander). Its power surpasses both the Chaos Emeralds and Sol Emeralds', and just a fraction of it could destroy Blaze's entire kingdom. Super Sonic even stated that he and Burning Blaze had no chance against the Egg Wizard on their own. The sheer force of its power can create earthquakes and when channeled, it can destroy entire planets.

Again like Egg Wizard, someone like Sage should be more than enough to control it if Eggman can't for any reason.

Egg Dragoon

The Nega Wisp

The Nega Wisp Armor is powered by multiple Wisp, it harnesses and utilizes the various Color Powers that Sonic encountered throughout his interstellar adventure. With Cyan Laser, it can shoot out sweeping beams of energy  along with smaller blasts it can shoot from constructs. With Pink Spikes, Eggman sends out waves of jagged projectiles that hurtle forward. Using Orange Rocket, it can fire projectiles from its tail With Blue Cube, Eggman can create harmful blocks to act as obstacles between him and his opponent. With Red Burst, the Nega-Wisp Armor can shoot out daek purple flames that expand and explode around the vicinity near its tail that can lash out to bite. Yellow Drill transforms its tail into a weaponized drillAnd with Violet Void it can release Black Hole's capable of bending space and time.

The Egg Fleet

The Egg Fleet  is the might of the Eggman Empire given aerial form, a formidable armada of flying battleships. Their force is most often commanded and directed by Dr. Eggman in his path of global conquest, each battleship loaded with a vast amount of Badniks, but it has occasionally aided the heroes in times such as defending Earth against the invasion of the Black Arms.

All of its vessels are equipped with a plethora of weaponry, including massive cannons for firing explosives and lasers, as well as hordes of Badniks that control it.

Egg Carrier

The Egg Carrier has served on a few occasions as Ivo's base of operations during his attempts to conquer the Earth. The Egg Carrier has been crewed by the doctor and his various robots, including the first E-100 Series robots. This included a large front-mounted powerful laser cannon housed inside the bow known as the Egg Cannon, which could fire a powerful cyan laser beam that was capable of incredible destruction. Other armaments included laser turrets, deployable air mines for infesting airspaces, missile launchers, and cannons for firing spiked objects. It had as well hangars for quick deployment of aerial robot drones to defend the vessel.

The Eggrobo

The Eggrobo is a giant Mecha with a cape, created from all of life energy on Sonic's world that Eggman plundered using the Extractor, with a destructive force that Robotnik said cannot be measured. Makes sense considering it can form a pseudo-black hole that can even kill Sonic in one hit.

Time Stones

(use this image to scare the DB Discord)

Paradox Prism

Coming from the hit tv show Mickey Mouse Clubhouse----er, I mean Sonic Prime, The Paradox Prism is a gemstone of untold power and mysterious properties hidden within the bedrock of Green Hill Zone. After Eggman played Sonic into breaking it, the gemstone shattered the space-time continuum, forming a series of alternate realties, also creating and plunging Sonic into the Shatterverse, which has been described as a "completely new multiverse" with the Prism's shards being scattered across different dimensions.

The Phantom Ruby

The Phantom Ruby is a purple gem that first appeared in Sonic Mania, before appearing in Sonic Forces. It is a gem that specializes in creating illusions, it has been theorized to be a source of unspeakable power, allowed Phantom King to bypass Super Forms Invulnerability, and restrain the Chaos Emeralds and cancel out a super transformation. It can materialize thousands of clones of ShadowChaos 0ZavokMetal Sonic, and Infinite to aid him in combat with the Phantom Ruby.

It powers can also warp the fabric of space-time, allowing it to create Dimensions such as Egg Reverie Zone and Null Space, as well as teleport entities from place to place. When used alongside the Chaos Emeralds' time-space powers, it transported Sonic and itself forward in time, and later sucked Dr. Eggman into a rift, Ruby Mist can distorts space-time within it.

The Chaos Emeralds

The seven Dragon Ball's.......have been used by the mad Doctor many times to further his goals of world domination, they are the seven servers, forged by Chaos which is power enriched by the heart. Those who hold them can use them to cause miracles and other feats, such as warping space and time and powering machines. Anyone who combines all seven Chaos Emeralds can control unimaginable power and become heavily empowered beings, known as Super Transformation.

Abilities:

  • Energy Absorption
  • Life Manipulation: Their Energy is said to be what gives both energy and vitality to all living things.
  • Non-Physical Interaction: At the Emeralds' peak. Empowered the four Titans to interact with and harm The End tens of thousands of years ago, as well as Super Sonic and Supreme in the present day.

Activated:

  • Presumably allows the user to use any of the Emerald Powers granted by each unique emerald.
  • Flight (True Flight): Showcased by several heroes and villains which use them, such as Super Sonic, Super Shadow, and Gemerl.
  • Space-Time Manipulation

Resistances:

  • Cyber Corruption (Type 1 - Physical Corruption), Law ManipulationCausality Manipulation, & Information Manipulation (Type 2Fundamental 6-D - 2 Layers): When Sonic transformed into his Super State, his Cyber Corruption, which was able to affect him despite resisting similar abilities previously, was halted, though it did not cure him outright.
The Master Emerald

Supposedly created by the gods, the Master Emerald acts as a counter to the Chaos Emeralds. The one who controls the Master Emerald can nullify and control the Chaos Emeralds, like negating Eggman's Chaos Control which split the planet into pockets of reality, making the Master Emerald a very valuable gem. The Master Emerald exist across the space-time continuum, Eggman has used it for power many times.

Time Eater

After Dr. Eggman was defeated once again and his interstellar amusement park was destroyed, he discovered the Time Eater. After learning of its abilities, Eggman then used it to erase Sonic's history and undo his numerous defeats in the process. It's also the responsible for White Space, which is a broken realm composed of many stolen areas from their places in space-time.

  • Acausality (Types 1 & 4): Exists in a dimension outside of multiversal space-time, as its dimension was unaffected when it wiped out all of time and space on a multiversal scale, and even outside of White Space which is itself outside of time.
  • Forcefield Creation: Can create basic forcefields.
  • Sealing: Into White Space, which Tails described as floating in limbo without a body.
  • Void Manipulation: Its erasure of timelines leaves nothing but White Space in its wake)
  • Dimensional Travel: Can travel to timelines that should not exist, such as the destroyed future of Crisis City.

Resistance to:

  • Space-Time Erasure: Unaffected by a place of destabilized space-time and the erasure of it.
  • Extreme Cold & Cosmic Radiation
  • Dream ManipulationLaw ManipulationCausality ManipulationSoul ManipulationInformation Manipulation (Type 2: Fundamental), & Conceptual Manipulation(Conceptual DestructionType 1Independent Universal Concept): Can survive attacks from both Modern and Classic Super Sonic at their maximum power, which have said effects

Armies

(By: MonkeyBoi: Sun Wukong Enthusiast)

Yeah we could do Bowser vs Eggman as just themselves, however, it just be a lot more fun (and a lot more work) for me to include their armies, so here we go let's start with Bowser shall we.

Bowser

Goomba:

Goomba's are among the most basic enemies. They can typically be defeated with a single punch, stomp, or fireball attack, although in some games, they are a bit more resilient. When jumped on, Goombas usually flatten before being defeated. They are particularly weak against fire magic, as seen in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars. Although Goombas are physically weak, they are very adaptable. Regular Goombas have been encountered in almost all types of terrain, while many variants have emerged well-suited for certain environments. Goombas cannot swim and drown instantly when they touch water.

Superhuman Physical CharacteristicsNon-Physical Interaction: As playable characters in Super Mario Party, Goombas should also be capable of stunning Boos with their attacks in Slaparazzi.

Weapon Creation: Can fire thorns from their mouths.

Koopa's:

Most Koopas seem to operate in a hierarchy-based grouping system. Bowser is the leader of the Koopa Troop, which has invaded Mushroom Kingdom many times and has control over most of the Koopas in the Mario series. Many of these same Koopas are soldiers in this army and have different tasks in the organization based on the abilities of their particular class. For example, Koopa Troopas tend to be assigned as basic foot soldiers alongside Goombas due to their lack of special abilities, while Magikoopas are often given advisory roles due to their magical abilities and gift of foresight.

Shy Guy

Shy Guys are common enemies in the Mario and Yoshi franchises. They are recognizable by their masks, which they wear due to their shyness. Shy Guys made their first appearance in Yume Kōjō: Doki Doki Panic, a non-Mario game; they were later carried over to the Mario universe when Super Mario Bros. 2 was created.

  • Superhuman Physical CharacteristicsNon-Physical Interaction: Can interact with Boo's.
  • Toon Force and Elasticity: Can survive being flattened and is able to recover immediately.
  • Weapon Mastery: Shy Guys are skilled with a wide variety of tools and weapons, including spears, shuriken, maces, and more.
  •  TransmutationSound Manipulation: Can turn opponents into scarecrows with S'crow Bell, turn opponents into mushrooms with Spore Chimes, and take away their ability to speak with Doom Reverb and Elegy.
  •  Energy Projection: Via Willy Wisp.
  •  Sleep Inducement: Via Somnus Waltz
  •  Weapon Creation: Via Sword Rain
  • Self-Perception Manipulation and Afterimage Creation: Zone Speed
Resistance to
  •  Fear ManipulationPoison ManipulationSleep ManipulationMute: Bodyguard is resistant to these status effects.

Boo

Boos are recurring ghost enemies that first appear in Super Mario Bros. 3. They are a type of white spherical ghost with menacing and normally open mouths. They are known for their large tongues and small stubby arms. However, the most distinctive characteristic of the Boos is their shy personality, as they cover their faces when someone looks directly at them, but then uncover and move after the character when their back is turned.

  • Status Effect Inducement: By scaring their target, Boos can make an opponent dizzy,  confusedor paralyzed.

King Boo

King Boo is the leader of the Boos and ghosts, the main antagonist of the Luigi's Mansion series, and the arch-nemesis of Luigi. He is also an ally of Bowser and has aided him in his various schemes. He has succeeded in capturing Mario in the Luigi's Mansion games, as well as capturing Toads, Professor E. Gadd, and Princess Peach. Although not the biggest Boo, King Boo has some powers throughout the series, including materializing objects and spitting fire. King Boo's power is often directly proportional to the number of Boos in his vicinity.

Kamek

This little shit, I mean, Bowser loving father, is an old yet powerful Magikoopa, adviser to Bowser and a high-ranking member in the Koopa Troop

  • Superhuman Physical Characteristics
  • Vehicular Mastery: Can expertly drive and pilot a multitude of karts and bikes. Can skillfully navigate across many different environments such as numerous Rainbow Roads. He is skilled enough to actively fend off other races while maneuvering around obstacles. Can perform mid-air acrobatic tricks while driving. Can race competently against a number of equally skilled racers such as Mario.
  • Self-Sustenance: (Type 1) Shown to be unaffected by the vacuum of space.
  • Toon Force and Elasticity: Quickly recovered after being ground pounded by Baby Bowser. Can quickly recover after being flattened in Mario Kart and Mario Party.
  • Mind Manipulation and Curse Manipulation: Cursed Yoshi's Island, mind controlling the bulk of its inhabitants and making them serve him and Bowser.
  • Electricity ManipulationExplosion Manipulation and Ice Manipulation: Can cast elemental attacks such as BoltBlast, and Solidify.

The Koopalings

The Koopalings, are a seven-member clan of recurring enemies in the Super Mario franchise, portrayed as siblings who act as leaders of the Koopa Troop under Bowser. Individually, they are named Larry, Morton, Wendy, Iggy, Roy, Lemmy, and Ludwig. Although Bowser Jr. is not a member of the Koopalings, they sometimes act as his personal minions.

Bowser Jr.

This little guy is Bowser Jr., and as his name indicates, is the son of Bowser and serves as the Prince of the Koopas, heir to the throne to be the future king. Bowser Jr.  helpS his father to kidnap Princess Peach and battle Mario and Luigi in many subsequent games, as well as being playable in various spin-off games. Bowser Jr. has a strong desire to make his father proud, and Bowser's rarely seen emotional side is sometimes brought out by his interactions with his son. Bowser Jr.'s defining traits are his hyperactive and mischievous personality, his frequent use of the Junior Clown Car and the magic brush, and the bib-like bandana he wears.

Eggman

Badniks

The Badniks are an army of mass-produced military robots created by Dr. Eggman, first deployed during the South Island incident. From there onwards, the Badniks have become the doctor's most numerous army, as well as some of his greatest creations.

The E-Series is a line of Badniks created by Eggman. Following their appearance during the Chaos incident, the E-Series has become the most produced line of Badniks. Forming some of the doctor's greatest creations, they are very advanced robots developed to advance weaponry.

Compared with other Badniks, the E-Series robots are very advanced. Most of them have also shown extreme resilience to damage, being able to withstand the force of powerful attacks like the Spin Attack. Having been developed with the purpose of advancing weaponry as well, many bristle with their own arsenals of weapons that include cannons and laser blasters.

Chaos Gamma

Gamma  is a robot created by Dr. Eggman that is modeled after E-102 Gamma, being a prototype built with recovered parts from him. During the Emerl incident, Gamma served as the doctor's principal robotic enforcer during his operations to control Emerl and made numerous attempts to capture the robot for his master.

As Chaos Gamma is built from many of the original E-102 Gamma's parts, he possesses many of his predecessor's abilities, but further improved, including a recovery mode when taking strong damage, the ability to harness Chaos Energy, and resistance to space-time manipulation.  Considering that he poses the abilities of his predecessor and even greater capabilities, he should be able to use the same items and weapons of his progenitor, like Forcejewls. (Should note that Eggman was present for the events of shuffle).

Tails Doll

One of Eggman's strangest creations and SomecallmeJohnny greatest foeis a stuffed toy Badnik created by Dr. Eggman in the image of Miles "Tails" Prower. It was used during the World Grand Prix incident in an attempt to catch Sonic the Hedgehog unguarded.

Tails Doll is able to move at super speeds that almost match Sonic's own, who can run at supersonic speeds. Despite its meager form, it exhibits considerable ability in races due to its lightweight design. It is also capable of levitation and is able to float in the air for an extensive amount of time, even longer than Tails himself.

Shadow Androids

Shadow Androids seem to have all the physical capabilities of Shadow and can withstand more damage than the average Egg Pawn. They fire tracer missiles from their hands (similar to how Shadow can launch Chaos Spears from his hands) and can defend themselves from physical attack by jumping and mimicking the Homing Attack, so the only way to defeat them is with a weapon or the Spin Dash. They are also able to use Chaos Control and Chaos Blast.

The Hard Boiled Heavies

They are a team of elite Eggrobos created by Dr. Eggman. After being struck with the power of the Phantom Ruby, however, the Hard Boiled Heavies began displaying power that even Eggman could not have predicted.

Heavy King

The leader of the Hard Boiled Heavies, the Heavy King is an enhanced version of an Eggrobo created by Eggman. Struck with the power of the Phantom Ruby, the Heavy King led his troop into battle against the likes of Sonic and his friends. He can transform into Phantom King who can battle on par with Super Sonic. He should also be capable of the same abilities as Infinite.

Heavy Magician

In what I believe might be the first female Badnik, Heavy Magician is a modified Eggrobo and a member of the Hard Boiled Heavies, a team of elite robots that serve Eggman. She can summon other Bandit's and can teleport, transforms herself into others and use their abilities, however, a well-aimed hit can dispel her illusions, though she can turn into Phantom Magician boosting her powers further.

Mecha Sonic

Before Metal, there was Mecha Sonic and was modeled after Sonic, created by Eggman with the purpose of replicating the blue hedgehog, and eventually replace him. He's incredible powerful and can even use the power of The Master Emerald.

  • Bodily Weaponry : Has a claw built-in as a hand.
  • Inorganic Physiology (Type 2)
  • Self-Sustenance: (Types 1, 2 and 3) As a machine, Mecha Sonic doesn't require sustenance.
  • Combat Skills
  • Vehicular Mastery: Mecha Sonic is capable of piloting Eggman's mechas with ease.
  • Stealth Mastery: Mecha Sonic was able to sneak up and pick off Tails, Sigma and a group of Eggrobo Scrapniks without being detected.
  • Surface Scaling: Can run along walls.
  • Spin Dash (Standard)
  • Aura
  • Flight (True Flight)
  • Invulnerability
  • Energy Projection: Can generate energy spheres and rings from his chest.

Infinite

This little weak Mephlies wanna be is Infinite, a Jackal who claims to have mental illness, including Autism (he's totally lying tho), was bullied by Shadow, leading him to accept experiments to augment his abilities by receiving a prototype Phantom Ruby.

He can reverse gravity and actively mess with it create constructs ranging from walls of cubesartillery cannonsand small turrets.  He can shoot lasersenergy balls, and he was left unaffected by the effects of the shockwaves from the Cube Wispon, which solidifies enemies in a cube before transforming them into smaller cubes. Infinite may be mentally weak, but he's physically very powerful, being named as Sonic most powerful foe in his base form and even defeated The Blue Blur in their first encounter.

Metal Sonic

Mr. Copycat himself, Metal Sonic is arguably, The Doctor best creation, Metal was made to be Sonic's superior in every way, from strength, durability, and speed. However, Sonic's second best rival (ALL HAIL SHADOW) can never seem to beat his template, however Metal wields a great deal of power, he cam generate electricityshields and fire a powerful beam from his chest, he can perfectly copy the ability or skill of any foe that he so well please, be it from an organic or not

He can shapeshift into others, steal itemsHe can forcefully take energy from Wisps to use Hyper-Go-On, which can amplify his speed to the point that he can catch up to and outrun an unprepared Sonic and put him into an amplified state.

Most importantly, Metal can use Chaos Energy, and the Chaos Emeralds to great effect, being able to use Chaos Control as Metal Overlord, and can even gain a Super Form of his own.

Sage

This is why it's arguable that Metal is his greatest creations, for while he is Eggman's strongest creation no doubt, Sage is Eggman's pride and joy, his daughter, and the proof that Baldy Noeshair does in fact have a heart. She's an Ai created by Eggman, in an attempt to harness the technology of the Ancients during the Starfall Islands incident, Sage would make protecting her father her highest priority, which Eggman appreciated, eventually coming to see her as his daughter.

Sage can phases through walls, teleport, and fly. Sage also can imprison her foes in Cyber Space, described as a "digital world separate from other areas in Sonic's universe and possibly other dimensions", which Sage is fully integrated into. She can run many different calculations and simulations, in fact she can run 1,700,050 simulations in a very short timeframe, and millions just to keep Ivo safe, all just to see the best possible outcome.

She can detect the best possible outcomes and detect weaknesses in her foes for Eggman. Because she's made of data and has no matter,  Sage's form is incorporeal, similar to a ghost. Sage can also manipulate the machines, like the final Titan.

Her most dangerous ability is Cyber Corruption through herself and her Cyber Cages, if an individual is unable to properly resist their affliction with Cyber Corruption and wield its power, they will instead succumb to its effect, Sage believed that Sonic's defiance of his Cyber Corruption as an attempt to transcend causality, something Tails backs up.

  • Immobilization: Becoming fully corrupted renders the victim completely unable to move.
  • Weapon Creation: Tails is able to construct and attack with an endless amount of wrenches.

Abilities if given Supreme:

  • Cyber Corruption (Nature)
  • Superhuman Physical Characteristics: Gave Super Sonic a more difficult time than every other Titan.

SCRATCH AND GROUNDER

The GOATS, they can do quite literally anything, their outerversal, pack it up Bowser.

Note: Both Bowser and Eggman have huge armies, to much for me to cover in this one blog, however, I will link both characters full armies list.

Forms

Dry Bowser

Basically Big B without skin, he can use his bones as projectiles, and even control his body without his head, but overall Dry Bowser posses the same abilities as his normal self.

Metal Bowser

Fury Bowser

  • Large Size: (Type 1)
  • Passive Platform Creation and Creation: Fury Bowser's appearance causes certain platforms to appear and rise from the water as well as spawn floating golden islands that will appear in random places that all disappear when Fury Bowser sleeps, and create pillars to damage Mario and Plessie.

Black Ooze:

Fury Shadows:

  • Body Control
  • Inorganic Physiology (Type 2)
  • Flight (Restricted Flight. Through levitation)
  • Resurrection

Resistances:

Nightmare Eggman

Nightmare Eggman is the nightmare form of Eggman, in which he had accessed to the form via either taking control of the ReverieNightmare Fuel and/or just being in his Dreamscape during the Reverie incident:

  • Reality Warping: As Nightmare Eggman, he has complete control of the Reverie due to cutting off Ariem from her own power source.
  • Additional Limbs: Has several extra arms he uses to attack.
Lightman

Yes, this is not a joke, after 32 years of waiting, we finally (not including the movie) have a Super Form for Eggman. Ladies and gentlemen, this is Lightman, this form of Eggman was created after Eggman modified Phantom Ruby prototype allowing him to emulate a Super State.

He could create several duplicates of Perfect Chaos, and the only reason they were slightly weaker was because of the mechanisms of the Chaos Emeralds' emotional empowerment. He has comparable power to Super Sonic, from the many worlds he created he summoned The Space Colony Ark, Dark Gaia, and The Mother Wisp.

Again like other Phantom Ruby users, Eggman should have the same abilities as them.

Cosmology

(should note that when it comes to Cosmology I'm neutral (until verdicts and I'll probably still be neutral their lol) when explaining the size of these verses, I'm just bringing everything to the table that could feasibly be argued)

Mario

Okay this is kinda big, and admittedly I am a little bit out of my depth here, for both series, especially Mario, but I'll do my best. Furthermore, I apologize for any of the mistakes I make in regards to both series cosmologies.

Dreams

Future Dreams is a lot more contentious, it is also shown to have stars in the background, it's called a universe by two members of The Star Sprits that watch over the Dream Depot, and said to be infinite in size in the Japanese version.

However the English version refers to it as a galaxy, there's also the matter if it was even called a universe in the first place, because of translation. This next part comes from Mad_Dog_of_Fujiwa, When introducing Future Dream, Eldstar refers to it as a dream made up of “dreams of space”, using “uchuu no yume (うちゅうのユメ)”. Uchuu is apparently a contentious word within the versus debating community, it's apparently a general term, and has a variety of meanings that vary, with its main meaning being “space”, but it could also mean “universe”, or “cosmos”, and other things.

Uchuu could possibly not be used as definitive proof of universal size, and some might consider it a blanket term to refer to space or being in space. Also, Misstar, when speaking to whoever was the Super Star of Future Dream, calls it a “dream of space”, using “uchuu no yume” once more, continuing the non-specific size. This might be why the English version calls it a Galaxy.

This guide doesn’t just use the term “uchuu (宇宙 )”, which can mean a lot of things, it uses “uchuu kuukan (宇宙空間 )”, which only means “outer space”. Not universe, just outer space. Saying outer space might not be enough to qualify as universal.

More so, according to a  recent translation by HakanaiBlue, whom as been identified aa trustworthy translator, and translation checking from Agnaa, who is familiar with proofreading translations on VSBW, the Japanese statement by Eldstar has been found to be as such: “"Welcome to Future Dream! This is a world created from "dreams of space." Everyone holds a yearning for space. We'll have an exciting time within those unending dreams!"

Now according to Agnaa, that while Future Dream is called “endless/unending”, it might not necessarily mean that in a spatial sense. While many initially believe that this statement implied infinite spatial size, to some if you look further into the context, he agrees that Eldstar is likely talking about Future Dream in the sense that it will last forever.

Hakanai  also specified that it uses the term “endless/unending dream”, which uses the term “Hatenai yume (はてないユメ)”. Hatenai yume apparently is not the most used phrase when it comes to the use of the word unending or endless dreams can be meant in relation of it going on eternally, the dream never stopping to exist because people always dream of space, or the dream being spatially infinite.

Some would argue that considering the context of what Edstar is referring to, the former makes much more sense. He’s speaking of a dream that’s formed from many dreams, and that everyone holds a yearning for space.

To those that argue this point, this sentence reads way better as him saying that "they’ll have a great time within the dreams that will never end, as people are always dreaming of space."

If they wanted to be clearer with the interpretation of infinite space spatially, it would referred as an infinite world, or even infinite space. But instead he calls them unending dreams.

Until my verdict, I'm remaining neutral on this as I feel that I needed to showcase all possible arguments for Future Dreams, so...where do you stand on it?

Other stuff

There are the 9 Worlds in Super Paper Mario via the Dimensional Doors, but there are likkely more since Bleck and the Ancients created a lot more than that.

There's the Shake Dimention in Wario Land: Shake Dimension.

In Donket Kong Country Returns,
there's another world they travel to via banana.

Sonic

Alright the one I'm more familiar with, though still nowhere near as knowledgeable as Archie Sonic, but as always I'll do my best, lets get start, however be fore we continue, once more, shout out to Ishi_Yuki for his Sonic vs Goku blog this is where I'm pulling from when it comes to Sonic's cosmology, here's the link from the full blog, everything I say is from Ishi, thanks to him again.

So we got the basic universe's, this includes:

  • Sonic’s Universe: The main universe where the vast majority of the games take place.

  • Silver’s Future: A dystopian hell, and the alternate timeline from which Silver comes from.

  • Sol Dimension: The dimension where Blaze and Marine reside. Blaze is referred to as a princess from another dimension.

  • The World of the Arabian Nights: A world made up the stories of the Arabian Nights, while its hard to prove that all 1,001 Nights are their own separate universes, there exist a place within the Night Palace which transports you to a different space-time, so the Arabian Nights should at least consist of 2 universes.

  • The World of Camelot: A world inspired by Arthurian legends.

  • The Sequences of the Shadow the Hedgehog game: The many pathways to complete the Shadow the Hedgehog game which are saved by the game to view in the Library Option in Story Mode, there exist 326 in total.

  • Sleeping Egg Zone: A dream world created by Doctor Eggman.

  • Egg Reverie Zone: A dimension where time constantly shifts back and forth, even to point which don't exist.

  • Null Space: A dimension described as an endless void of nothingness.

  • Chaotic Inferno Zone: The homeworld of the Ifrit.

  • Cyber Space: A digital world created by the abstract feelings of the Ancients.

  • Cyberspace: Another digital world which appeared in Shadow the Hedgehog which relays information to and from Earth. There exists at least 2 Cyberspaces, the United Federation’s and the Eggman Empire's.

  • Aqua Planet Zone’s dimension: The dimension where Aqua Planet Zone resides.

  • Flicky Dimension: The parallel dimension where the Flickies reside.

  • Special Stage Universe (Sonic Chaos): The universe where the Special Stages take residence in Sonic Chaos, differing to the other Special Stages, are all stated to reside in a single universe.

  • Stardust Speedway’s Bad Future: The dystopian future of Stardust Speedway.

  • Sonic Riders’ Digital Dimension

  • Shatterverse: The Shatterverse is a multiverse which was created by the good doctor playing Sonic into breaking the Paradox Prism there are stated to be a number of Shatterspaces (alternate realities birthed from the universe's split), but so far the only we know that exist are:

  • New Yoke City: A dystopian world which is ruled with an iron fist by the Chaos Council
  • No Place: A dimension which contain an endless expanse of ocean
  • Bozcage Maze: A dimension containing a thick jungle
  • The Grim: A dimension devoid of life and covered by a vast desert

  • Ghost Hill: The ghostly and corrupted remains of the original Green Hill

Special Stages are where The Chaos emeralds reside in a lot of the games, they are alternate realities, an examples includes Fang's dimension. It is implied in Rush they are entered by dimensional distortions.

Outside of the 14 in 3&k, there are seven special stages in each game, multiply that by the number of games they feature (19), you get 140 dimensions.

MaginaryWorld

(Fuck)

Okay, let's just discuss what Maginaryworld is first. Maginaryworld is where Illumina, the Forcejewels and the Precioustone reside. It is a dream world created from the dreams of people in other dimensions through the power of the Precioustone, and contains parts of everyone's dreams. Maginaryworld was almost plunged into darkness by Void when he shattered the perfected Precioustone into pieces.

Dreams and reality coexist in Maginaryworld, everyone's dreams exist separately, with Illumina manifesting in each of the quartet's dreams. we can assume that there exist as many dream worlds as beings who are capable of dreaming, with the Maginaryworld being stated to be the source of all dreams across all dimensions.

Here I am talking about dreams again huh, anyway dreams are shown to have contain starry skies and nebulae and large celestial bodies. Visions of the past are considered as dreams. I personally don't get this next part however, one example as supporting evidence of dreams being universe level in size is, Chao in Space animation, in which a Chao dreaming of an interstellar battle in deep space.

In it we see numerous galaxies in the same manner that is shown in the dreams world located within the Maginaryworld. Wishes and Desires can become real in MaginaryWorld, like how Lumina states “Maginaryworld... The world where everyone's dreams come true... Precioustone... The crystalized essence of everyone's dreams... But... There are many different kinds of dreams. Ambition, Possession, Domination... These are dreams from the dark realm. Is that... Void?”

Any desire like The End's goal to "tear down the walls between dimension and consume all" have a place in MaginaryWorld.

Then we have the Dreamscape worlds where dreams can come true once a person is put to sleep by the Reverie. The Reverie artifact can make dream worlds become realalbeit only once a millennium,  while Maginary is not directly mentioned it's still connected since Maginary is the source of all dreams, and more so, Ariem does state she has creators who enforces rules on her, likely referencing Illumina, who is the only other confirmed dreamweaver in the series, and Illumina possesses Void’s energy within itself; a being who is required for dreams to existThe realm also has its own flow of time.

To wrap this section up, there is a 4th dimensional space where all dreams are stored and also are Illumina's dream. It's also referred to as an "infinite 4-dimensional space".

Other stuff:

There's a possibility of Sonic multiverse containing at the very least 2 septillion universes, and there might be more.

The otherworld comedy story, advertisements mentioned how the final battle takes place in an "infinite super other-dimensional space".

Null Space is confirmed to be infinite size and an endless void.

Crisis City is called a universe.

Finally their is one thing left to talk about that I don't see much discussion on, though I could be wrong, though I am left curious on the topic...

WTF IS THE POWER OF THE STARS?????

Alright lets talk about this, so The Power of The Stars is described a form of energy that separates and sustains the existence of parallel dimensions in the multiverse, such as Sonic's universe and the Sol Dimension, allowing them to co-exist. What we do know is that it far surpasses the Chaos and Sol Emeralds in power.

I don't know what that really means, but I thought it would need it's own section to tell what it is.

.......

That's it, onto feats!

Weaknesses

Bowser

Bowser is super tough, incredibly smart, and quite a clever and resourceful leader, however his arrogance can  triumph over his intelligence and wits, his lack of foresight can cost him his plans, and more importantly while his rage can be a powerful weapon it can also be his greatest weakness, as it blinds him and drops his durability by half. He also committed charity fraud.

Eggman

For all his smarts and cunning, Eggman is just too prideful and arrogant for his own good, it outright cost him a lot of victories. Despite his intelligence, Eggman can come across as very childlike and immature, furthermore the doctor possesses a very short temper and can be angered easily, leading to him throwing emotional and childish outbursts, screaming, and kicking stuff around when things do not go his way. He also has weird fetishes.

Verdict

Ishi_Yuki

Heya, y’all, ishi_yuki here! This is a little document that will act as basically a list of my opinions on the debate of Bowser VS Eggman due to the Discord Death Battle that’s currently happening at the time I’m writing this (5/19/2024). While it’s tricky and both have several and fair chances of edging a victory, I firmly believe that the genius scientist should win this fight, and throughout the doc, I’ll be explaining why.

source

Before starting: Keep in mind that this is all my opinions and all that I’ve researched for it. If I miss something out or understand something wrong, feel free to disagree or talk with me. After all, both Bowser and Eggman are fairly tricky characters with huge arsenals. Keep also in mind that this doc won’t literally put all of their stuff here, only the important topics necessary for the fight. I will be also considering both at EQUAL STATS here, because while I do believe in Eggman having better stats, Mario and Sonic stats are something that goes back and forth and is argued by many. Because it makes things easier to the debate, they will be considered similar in stats, and I’ll only analyze the other factors.

Quick Stuff

To start, there are a few things worth talking about both in general, especially their forms. It’s a bit tricky to say what we consider for both, but we basically agreed in the Discord Death Battle chat to allow everything they can have as long as it’s somewhat canon. So stuff like Fury and Dreamy Bowser, Nightmare Eggman and Lightman Eggman, Time Stones, Star Rod, these kinda stuff. On that note, we know that the whole Mario = Paper Mario is extremely debatable, but to make things fair game, I am also considering stuff from these games for Bowser. One last thing for Eggy is Sonic Chronicles, which isn’t used for most of the peeps because of it not being canon due to the whole Ken Penders situation, but it’s also argued to be fine to use, since it was a game intended to expand lore in canon. Due to this, anything that is Chronicles related, feel free to ignore it if you don’t use it.

The first thing I’d like to talk about, just to quickly exclude this from the debate, is the tertiary factors. Eggman is smarter, no doubt, but when we get to their battle experiences, I think they should be around equal. Bowser is an extraordinary combatant, with many impressive techniques that he can dish and punch on his own without needing help, not to mention the fact that he’s a war general. But the thing is, a lot of these things are stuff that Eggman can match. Eggman is also a brilliant war general that could deal with Sonic’s resistances for over 6 months during the events of Forces, not to mention even better stuff during IDW. Eggman is also constantly adapting and fighting many skilled martial artists like Sonic and Knuckles for a long time, and Sonic especially, since Orbot calculated the exact amount of times that Eggman has lost to Sonic, and it was over two hundred thousand! It could be many more if Eggman has won some of these,or it the fights didn’t end with a winner. While Bowser should have a better H2H combat, I do think their experience should be not that far from equal. They have also fought many similar cosmic threats and skilled characters, so why not. While I could argue that Bowser has been kinda easily manipulated before, and that Eggman could manipulate Bowser, I find it fair to say this wouldn’t be an issue in the first place, and Bowser has learned from his mistakes, so I’ll not try to lean into that.

Part 0.5: WITH THIS TREASURE I SUMMON

For this, I’ll quickly address much similar stuff they can both do, and that is the ability to replicate, create and summon their armies over and over again. If they lose members of their armies, they have several ways of bringing them back. Phantom Ruby can create several clones of characters like Shadow, Metal Sonic and Zavok, and even Dark Gaia, Perfect Chaos, and the Space Colony ARK. Eggman has a machine that clones with a single zap. At the same time, Bowser can summon towers that can summon copies of Mario characters. Both also have very similar forms (Dreamy Bowser and Nightmare Bowser) which can be used to create even more minions. I’d say they both share similar ways of replenishing, and their abilities to rewind time with stuff like Retry Clocks and Time Stones, it’ll keep going and going. So, imo, it isn’t a reliable advantage for either.

Part 1: Showtime, or is it really?

To start it off, I’d like to bring some of the stuff that’s argued to be effective on Eggman if used that Bowser has. The king of the Koopas has useful abilities and items that could be an issue or not, so I am listing some of the toys that I recall are the most important and present arguments if Eggman can deal with it or not.

  • Transmutation: Right off the bat, we have Bowser’s ability of transmuting things. He turned most of the Toads in the Mushroom Kingdom into stone blocks, bricks, and plants, turned a Koopa Troopa into a frog, was converting all the beings inside the castles paintings into subservient monsters, and turned all the Egglings living in Eggland into apples. Additionally, Kamek, who’s part of Bowser’s army, can also transmute stuff to similar degrees. Though, for Eggman, I wouldn’t say it would be a massive issue to him. In games like Sonic Jump for example, Eggman himself and his machine could resist the effects of Sonic’s Ring Time, which transmutes enemies into Rings. Additionally, in Sonic Heroes, his machine is also not affected by the Chaotix Recital, an ability that also turns enemies into Rings. From that point, it’s argued that the other machines that Eggman did wouldn’t resist the effects of transmutation because they never displayed resistances to it, however, I find that argument not that good. Eggman has resisted transmutation himself, and so did his Eggmobile and his superior machine from Heroes. It’s unlikely that all other Eggman machines wouldn’t also be normally resistant to it, since they’re made by Eggman himself, and some of them are much superior to the machine presented in Heroes. In any other case, there’s also the Time Stones in game, which could potentially restaur Eggman’s arsenal of mechs that get affected by transmutation. Speaking of the Time Stones, though, this opens to talk about another one of Bowser’s methods of catching a victory…

  • Item Stealing: Bowser has access to impressive items such as the Plunder Chest, Fly Guy Ticket, Swap Card, and a few others. All of them are capable of stealing or swapping items, which would be incredibly useful for Bowser, considering a lot of what Eggman can do would be out of the game like Chaos Emeralds, Time Stones and the Phantom Ruby. He can also suck them up. Useful, for sure, but I do think an argument can be made for Eggman here. He has tractor beams, Metal Sonic can also steal items, and because of Eggman’s access to E-102 Gamma, he can have access to the Forcejewels, which can do things like swapping or even destroying other Forcejewels. It is important to say that both the items from Mario Party and items from Sonic Shuffle (the Forcejewels) are very similar in how they operate, therefore, there’s a way you could assume that the Forcejewels could fairly counter Bowser’s own ways of stealing items. Bowser’s inhale wouldn’t be too much of a problem to deal with considering how many ways Eggman could deal with it.

  • Retry Clocks: Bowser has access to Retry Clocks that can rewind time when he is defeated. Those can be useful to keep Bowser in battle even after he dies about 19 times, but the Time Eater would be a complete neg to this, given whole space-time erasure effects if it were to be used. The Time Stones could be a good comparison as well, but I’ll explain that later.

  • Time Travel: Bowser has seemingly the ability to just… warp time and space to go into the past. Considering he would even use that mid battle to try and catch a win.. so can Eggman. With both the Time Eater and the Phantom Ruby. So nothing really major, I’d say. Chaos Control could time travel Eggman too, but that’d require two people with two emeralds, and I don’t believe the Solaris Project would be useful since it is a huge machine placed on a specific location.

  • Kamek: Unironically, a massive problem to Eggman. It’s potentially the most devastating card that Bowser could pull, and it could completely mess up a lot of Eggman’s advantages for a certain reason. First, Kamek’s abilities to shuffle items could be a massive issue to Eggman, and the fact that he can do it at a single swipe is advantageous. Kamek can also spawn even more minions for Bowser, and it can disable powers too. Against all of these, what can Eggman do to even get rid of this? Well, there’s a few, I’d say. His cloning machine could make a Kamek of his own, so they can do the same things as Bowser’s, and characters like Metal Sonic could also benefit from Kamek’s powers because he could just take them all for himself. Sage could be a good informer of how dangerous Kamek can be, and then Eggman could quickly try to get rid of him, and he could with stuff like Time Eater, that I will talk more about. Additionally, Eggman could create power nullification stuff with a Chaos Emerald in hand before (translation here), and Sage can also power null with Cyber Corruption.

  • Boos: Boos can be pretty useful in combat. Because of their intangibility, they can begin doing useful things for Bowser, notably intangible, make allies intangible, phase through walls, make pocket dimensions, throw you into said pocket dimensions, make illusions, possess inanimate objects, seal people in paintings, etc. Well, Eggman has a lot of ways to counter BFR/pocket dimension creation with his own equipment, and additionally, he just… escaped White Space in Sonic Generations without any type of equipment. Sealing is more complicated, but characters like Sage can do something similar (will explain later). But outside of that, we can only consider stuff like Super forms being able to break seals, since they can resist effects of Cyber Corruption normally, so maybe Eggman has a way to deal with that, but unsure. Boo's intangibility is the most complicated one, but to be entirely honest, I don’t see why Eggman shouldn’t have a way around it. Eggman’s machinery like E-123 Omega can interact and harm spirit characters like Pumpkin Ghosts, and Metal Sonic can also harm and interact with Mimic Ghost. And I believe top tier mechs have AoE necessary to get rid of them as soon as possible.

  • Wonder Flower: Perhaps Bowser’s best way of catching a win is the Wonder Flower. With this, he can easily reality warp things around him and let him fuse with other stuff like his own castle. Not to mention, Bowser could create a massive area of effect with it, which expanded to an entire universe area of effect. We could argue it took him a considerable amount of time in order for him to do that, but to be fair, a lot of the same stuff you can argue with Lightman Eggman as well, so I’m considering because why not. For all of these, I’d really like to say it's a fair advantage for Bowser. Considering a lot of Eggman’s low tier minions of their army can be easily transformed into Rings by Sonic himself, it’s no doubt that the Wonder Flower would easily be capable of doing similar. However, mid tier mechs to more powerful mechs wouldn’t have an issue as I already argued why transmutation shouldn’t be an issue for them, and as such, I think Eggman can deal with that with no much difficulty. But, for the merging with mechs stuff, it’s a bit trickier on what Eggman could do to resist such thing, as resisting transmutation alone shouldn’t be enough, but for cases like this, there’s nothing stopping Sage herself to take over Eggman’s mechs again, and completely mess with Bowser. Sage’s hacking are so great it worked on Titans, which Eggman himself described the ancient technology as something much more complex than anything he has ever done. Even if you don’t go with that, more arguments will be presented later.

Part 2: The Empire Strikes Back (ha get it)

With all of the yap said about what Bowser can do and if I believe Eggman has one way or another that he could deal with, it’s time to talk if Eggman can do all the impressive stuff I swore in Part 1. After all, I have to argue a win! So, in this section, I’ll just try to name every good advantage that I can think in order to argue a victory for the Eggman Empire!

Metal Virus

The Metal Virus is an insane workaround Bowser’s kit. It can turn Bowser’s army against him due to how powerful the virus is, that was capable of infecting characters who were already resistant to transmutation, including Sonic himself. Sure, he has ways around it, but the infection of the Metal Virus would still be significant considering how fast it can spread around. One thing that I see going around is that the Virus was so potent that eventually Eggman could not take control of it anymore. However, this is false. The reason why he lost control of the virus was because Sonic interrupted and destroyed his machine.

So as long as he has it, all things could go under control, as he could hide it far away from the battlefield. To be entirely honest, you can debate if Eggman would even rely on something like that in the first place, but I’m considering it for the sake of the debate.

Metal Sonic

Metal Sonic. It’s honestly a very good advantage considering how threatening he can get. Assuming we get the Chaos Emeralds involved, Super Neo Metal Sonic would be too much of a danger since he would not only have invulnerability, but also an insane strength that could compete with Bowser’s most insane powerhouses. If you do wanna bring Metal Overlord, he could be even more dangerous, but at the same time, we don’t know how much damage he could do to Eggman in the process considering he would be drawing huge amounts of equipment to transform, but however, nothing implies he could do to Bowser’s stuff if he even brings that to the table, so sure why not. Metal Overlord was so powerful not even Super Sonic’s normal attacks could hurt him; only Trio blasts. Sure, but without Overlord, I don’t think we should discard the many things he could do to help Eggman. With techniques like Chroma Chamo, he could become invisible and intangible to infiltrate and just scan data to copy everyone’s powers and abilities. Chaos Control would also come in very handy, considering it can make him teleport throughout the battle and stop time, which was so effective it worked on Super Sonic, even though Sonic himself has resisted time stops before. Heck, Metal’s Chaos Control doesn’t even need an emerald to work, which is extremely broken. So, I believe that his advantage in the battlefield could be pretty useful, and considering he’s as smart as Eggman, that could make him plot pretty intelligent strategies.

Sage

(source)

Sage would be very dangerous and annoying for the King of the Koopas. Because Sage is an AI, any attempt of physically trying to get rid of her is useless, given she doesn’t really have a corporeal body (also proved here since Sage can phase through walls). She’s extremely intelligent and useful for analytical predictions and ways to get Eggman informed of how to instantly end the fight. Sage is made by a combination between Eggman's base coding and fully integrating into Cyber Space, where Cyber Space in question is an entire reality built of the memories, hopes, dreams and even the very essences of the Ancients. It is capable of endlessly expanding with the memories of others, with the amount of data stored within being stated by Eggman to defy quantification. Capable of running different calculations and simulations; she's able to run 1,700,050 simulations in an extremely short timeframe and had run millions of them to see the best way to keep Eggman alive. Sage oftentimes uses simulations to seek the outcome with the best possible chance of survival. As noted by Sonic, she is constantly deferring to odds and simulations while being quick to leap at a scenario that leads to victory. This, and having in mind that she can detect weaknesses is significant to make her get the ways to make direct ways to make Eggman win.

We now can get to ways of how Sage can offensively help Robotnik in combat, and there’s several. Because of her better hacking and control over complex and impressive technology, she could hack or disable anything tech related that Bowser has, and if Bowser himself takes control over anything Eggman has, she can just take it back. Another thing that is extremely dangerous for Bowser to deal with is the motherfucking Cyber Corruption. She’s naturally composed of it, and she also seems to spread an aura of Cyber Corruption around her, and can even expand it. She also has Cyber Cages which release Cyber Corruption and gets worse the longer an individual is inflicted with it.  But what does it do? What makes Cyber Corruption so bad? Well, frankly, they do a lot of crazy bullshit. Soul immobilization, paralysis, power nullification, memory alteration, senses manipulation, a pretty damn good corruption, interdimensional BFR and especially information manipulation, which is a crazy form of hax. Affecting someone’s information is basically affecting their very being. Your body, your mind, your soul, your powers, your very existence, all of that exists as “information” or “data” about you. It could probably vary a bit depending on the series and what’s given to info but yeah. If one were to start fundamentally fucking with your information, they’d be fucking with your very existence down to the most fundamental levels. If someone were to say, corrupt your information, functionally your very body, mind, soul, essence, anything related to you that classifies as your information, would be so thoroughly warped and changed that you couldn’t even be classified as “you” anymore, the very fundamental things that make up you wouldn’t exist anymore, having been altered wholly. If your information were to get corrupted, assuming you even SURVIVE the process, you’d likely be changed into something so drastically different it’d be unlikely they’d even be the same thing, which could probably qualify as a win in of itself. Safe to say, this would be a MASSIVE issue over the entirety of Bowser’s army, considering a good majority could not resist, not even Bowser himself, but it could also be spread easily. Sage can also create barriers to protect Eggman, and was capable of protecting against The End himself, powerful enough to contend with Super Sonic 2.

I believe Sage would be pretty useful for these reasons. Because I am in a rush, you can check everything that Cyber Corruption can do here.

Time Stones

(Oleggator’s favorite thing ever, probably)

The Time Stones are a good advantage for Eggman in contrast to the Retry Clocks. They can manipulate time, and it would be very useful for Eggman to deal with damage to his stuff, and/or Bowser’s ways of keeping him at disadvantage. One useful thing from the Time Stones, though, is that Eggman doesn’t really need to activate them, as the Time Stones can manipulate time at will, as seen in manuals for Sonic CD.

Additionally, there’s some rough translations from DeepL from this page of the manual explaining a bit more about the Time Stones.

Lightman Eggman (and Egg Field) + Phantom Ruby

Eggman’s Super form??
Yup! He used it in a story of Otherworld comedy from the Sonic Channel. I personally see no issue in using a fully charged Egg Field considering I’m doing the same for the Wonder Flower, so let’s begin. First of all, the form is completely on par with Super Sonic, and Egg Field can create an infinite super-dimensional AoE with it, which should be way above Bowser’s with the Wonder Flower. He created these alternate worlds with his Phantom Ruby, which apply a lot of effects to the world itself and the individuals caught in the alteration of reality. Now, you may be thinking, shouldn’t Bowser resist anything done to his mind before he resisted Lucien? Well, not really. Bowser was more like possessed by Lucien, not mind controlled. His minions, though, were so loyal they resisted mind control cuz of that (wowie). Even if you argued that Bowser resisted though, the memory alternation was effective enough to work on Sonic, which already resisted mind control from Dark Gaia. So, with his AoE, it’s plausible to say that he would bug Bowser for a time until he can just release one of his way to catch a win.

Time Eater

Lastly, the Time Eater. Already addressing the big fish first, yes, he could use it. Even though he admitted only someone as genius as him could pilot alongside him, there are characters that are as smart as him to make the Time Eater work, like Sage and Metal Sonic, not to mention he could probably summon another Eggman to help. Even without that, it’s an important point on the story that Eggman used the Time Eater to fly to the past in the first place to get Classic Eggman, so it’s not like he can’t use it without an ally to help, I think it’s more plausible to say it only helps on the effects of his powers, as Eggman only showed to time travel using the Time Eater alone.

First off, it would shut off Bowser’s chances of going back in time because of Time Eater’s acausality. Time Eater exists in a dimension outside of multiversal space-time, as its dimension was unaffected when it wiped out all of time and space on a multiversal scale, and even outside of White Space which is itself outside of time. He can time travel, slow time and most notably, erase and manipulate time and space. He can create bubbles of distorted time that can affect both Classic and Modern Super Sonic, and is stated to have reduced all of space-time and reality to a white void once Eggman unleashed it multiple times (even in Tails’ YouTube channel!). Eggman used the Time Eater's ability of erasing Space-Time to undo his past defeats. This is a disaster for Bowser, as it would wipe literally everything he has due to the sheer potency of this. The space-time erasure is extremely effective, but does Bowser have ways around it?

Yes, actually, but it’s arguable. If you give him access to the Pure Hearts, he has a chance to survive the effects of the space-time erasure debatably. However… I don’t agree. In SPM we see Sammer’s Kingdom get sucked in and destroyed by the Void, which consumes/erases space and possibly time. One of the Pure Hearts is sucked into the Void and is in the process nullified, petrified and rendered powerless. The Pure Hearts being able to undo the erasure also required both proper setup, but also NOT being absorbed into the void yet. The characters are rushing and saying that if they don’t hurry, all will be lost. They’re aware that if the ritual isn’t done in time having the pure hearts won’t matter and everything will still be destroyed. After the initial setup of the ritual, it takes the power of pure love between Tippi and Bleck, and very very likely sacrificing one another’s lives in order to reverse the void and all the erasure. So not only do:

  • The Pure Hearts have to be not sucked by the Void yet;

  • a ritual has to be performed;

  • likely a sacrifice comes along with it.

I think it’s very unlikely all of that could be pulled off before the Time Eater just erases everything and kills everyone off. The circumstances with the pure hearts and void/chaos heart are very specific and not just a simple “I activate anti erasure attack!” It should be noted that the hearts specifically counteract the chaos heart. They don’t miraculously send out a wave of restoration that fixes everything, they’re just able to banish/seal the Chaos Heart which results in the Void being undone. I think, that while the pure hearts have the capability to seal away the chaos heart / void, they couldn’t just resist the effects of the Void if taking them head on, as we’ve seen the results of that with Sammer’s Kingdom, they’re nullified and rendered useless and need to be restored. I think if the time eater released a giant btfo wave and bowser / the hearts / everyone was hit by it, that’s it, it’s over, they’re erased and the hearts are petrified. There’s no real visual proof of the hearts combined being able to endure the effects of the erasure either, and if anything it’s heavily implied that they wouldn’t be able to, and we KNOW hearts are susceptible to their effects via Sammer’s kingdom, I don’t think it’s equatable to Time Eater fully.

So, yeah, Time Eater would be an instant win buttom.

Misc (AKA I don’t have time I need to rush this doc)

Something something other robots can pilot mechs and Eggman has a machine to reverse damage

Conclusion: That’s What I Am

Overall, I think those are my thoughts. I truly apologize if anything looks rushed or poorly explained, but I really needed to accelerate not only because I have a limited time, but things in real life also happening. But yeah, in my opinion, I think the Doctor’s wincons seem pretty valid. He’s more intelligent, equally skilled, can defend from potent and dangerous threats, can match some of the abilities, has ways to know when to instantly end the fight, can copy powers, can memory wipe, and can just simply erase everyone from time.

The winner is Doctor Eggman. At least, in my opinion lol XD lmao

thank u mav for the art, luv u!!!!!!!

Random Splatoon 2 Fan

Hello and good day, distinct individuals. It is I, InklingMa-I mean Random Splatoon Fan, and it's a pleasure to be sharing my thoughts on the verdict for my most wanted matchup out there. Based on what's been included in this blog, I can definitely agree that Bowser should take this one. Let's get started with my piece on it, though.

Starting things off with strength and AP, this one's more or less a no-brainer. Eggman's best machinery is crazy powerful, no questions there, especially stuff like the Final Egg Blaster and Egg Wizard, but since we're using stuff like the Mario RPGs and Paper Mario (Which I do honestly think is valid), Bowser should definitely take the edge here. He has plenty of feats that support him being multiversal or potentially even multi+, like destroying the Dream Depot, scaling to the Bros being able to hurt Zeekeeper, Dreamy Bowser being Dreamy Bowser, and the Pure Hearts just being straight-up overkill. Eggman isn't too far behind thanks to stuff like the Egg Wizard and his Nightmare form, I'm still giving this to the Koopa King.

If you ask me, both are relatively even in speed. Both have arguments for being immeasurable, and while I personally find Bowser's arguments a little more convincing, I'm gonna be fair here and say they tie.

For abilities and weapons, this one's definitely a close one since, like with many Mario VS Sonic matchups, both have plenty of stuff they can use to counter each other. I'd probably give it to Bowser in terms of quality whereas Eggman takes it regarding quantity, so...yeah, another tie, I guess.

I'm undoubtedly giving hax to Bowser. He has so many items that grant him access to reality warping and such that's just on a different level from even Eggman's best stuff, allowing him to not only match Eggman's best hax, but counter it. Obviously, the Paradox Prism, Phantom Ruby, and Time Eater are invaluable assets for Eggman in this fight, but if I had to choose which stuff was better between those and the Dream Stone, Wonder Flower, and Pure Hearts, I'm going with the latter, no questions asked.

In terms of armies, I'm giving this one to Bowser too. They're even in terms of viable main players and big guns, but Bowser has a greater variety of troops, better firepower, and his army has shown to be significantly more loyal.

Eggman is unsurprisingly more intelligent, but Bowser is a far more skilled fighter to balance it out. It helps that Bowser fights on his own all the time whereas Eggman is more or less royally screwed once all his mechs are dealt with.

Overall, while Eggman is sure as hell not going down easy, Bowser's greater strength, hax, and army should be enough to take The Glitch down. So if you ask me, *ahem*

The winner is Bowser!

KingHero64

Alright, time to talk about 2 iconic video game evil conquerors who battles their archenemies in their legacy!

For stats, starting with strength, both had the power to affect their universes and higher via having infinite dimensions in their respective cosmology. Though, I’m going give this to Bowser since his evidence of scaling to multiversal power in Super Mario seems to be more consistent via having more standard arsenal and having more forms that could double his power few times in his physiology and is more bloodlusted to use his strongest abilities first rather than relying their equipment to do its job like Eggman.

For speed, I would give this to Eggman. While Bowser does have Infinite speed feats, Eggman has Immeasurable scaling to Super Sonic via Time Eater (even though he need to require past Eggman to do it via outside help but still) and he has keep up with Super Sonic ‘s speed numerous times. Though, Bowser can still keep up with him since that only requires for Eggman by having machines that could reach that speed overtime via attack speed. Overall, Bowser takes strength and durability by having better multi multiplier arguments while Eggman takes speed by having Immeasurable feats and scaling.

Now let’s talk about Hax. Both had many abilities that counter each other in similar ways even with their armies that can compete almost even with each other. However, Bowser’s immortality is pretty difficult for Eggman. Bowser has survived many methods that could end him and he is still alive, even he had infinite lives that is hard to keep him down for good. Though, Eggman has Chaos Emeralds that can turn him Super recently and can potentially use conceptual manipulation to end Bowser’s Immortality… If not for the fact Bowser has the ability to change the plot of his story. Yeah, Bowser can basically say “My enemy in his form is much weaker than me and I dominate the fight”. Making Eggman vulnerable to Bowser’s amount of magic that would end him whatever Bowser desires to change the fight in his favor. The hax and arsenal goes to the king of the Koopas.

For experience and IQ; first let’s talk about experience. Yeah, Bowser has a long clear advantage by being 10 thousand years old which he spend those years by being a great leader of the koopas while Eggman… well he’s a human being with 50s or something so he pales in general experience compared to Bowser. Even with combat he experience, he fought Mario since he was a kid so he also has more combat experience with his arch enemies than Eggman with Sonic and the others in a decade. For IQ, Eggman takes it clearly. He’s an extraordinary genius with building armies and equipment by himself and had greater schemes that fed Sonic, even in his super form, to fall for his traps numerous times. Although Bowser does have some schemes that fooled Mario on occasions. Last but not least l, let’s talk about who had better loyalty with their armies. Bowser’s army is more reliable and more trustworthy on Bowser’s orders and had better teamwork that could form a greater threat to Mario and the others while Eggman’s army doesn’t rely on teamwork as they often prefer to be separated generally even though his army is better at skills and technology like Sage and such. They sometimes hesitate to Eggman’s orders at times. So Bowser clearly takes both experience and army teamwork while Eggman clearly takes Intelligence and army power.

So overall this is indeed a close fight. while both have many ways that could counter each other. I think Bowser takes the W. He had hax like plot manipulation that would turn almost all of Eggman’s versatility go backfire and can use proper magic as his preferred way to battle his enemy at the start of the battle. While Eggman does have the speed advantage, I felt that couldn’t be enough to seal the deal when Bowser could catch up to him at a time with his stat boosting items. He also had the power advantage via having better multi evidence that could make it at anytime rather than being overtime like Eggman’s mechs. He also had way better experience with foes and knows how to rely on his army by having work together in many areas that could overwhelm their enemies and Eggman would still have a hard time killing Bowser via his immortality outside of his super forms.

Overall, Eggman is smarter and quite faster along with better army power; But Bowser’s strength, items , greater army teamwork , and superior abilities makes the fight in favor for the koopa overlord. Sorry Egghead, you must BOW down for the king before he turns you into a bunch of EGGS.

The winner is Bowser.

PaulW

Finally back for another blog, and boy do we have one of the biggest existing matchups to date to look over. The legacy of Bowser and Dr. Ivo Robotnik is nothing short of incredible, and without them we might not have as many other beloved video game antagonists today. But much like their arch rivals, this is all about seeing them go all out in a duel to the death, with only one leaving victorious. Who shall it be?

Let's look at their strengths and weaknesses. At a first glance, Bowser could easily be considered to be the victor. His wide variety of super powered abilities like Telekinesis, Levitation, Electricity Manipulation (very helpful against armies of robots), and others give him a lot of advantages for direct contact and attacks. His arsenal of different shells could be extremely useful and provide a great deal of defense or be used for crowd control. He has a great deal of resistance to elemental powers and mental attacks, but his biggest weakness isn't his “stupidity”, as he's constantly been shown to be quite intelligent and scheming, but more his tendency to lose control and let his temper make the choices for him.

When angered enough, Bowser becomes far less calculating and extremely vulnerable to being caught off guard if his opponent can keep their cool and take advantage of his distracted state. Eggman however is absolutely no slouch. Many of his defensive tools and weapons especially his elemental shields likely means he would be able to resist much of what Bowser could directly throw at him. Some of his powers like the Duplicating Beam could help him buy time and get a feeling for what Bowser is capable of while he prepared a new offense. I feel that Bowser has an arsenal that prepares him much better for a one on one fight, while Eggman can quickly overwhelm Bowser with his wide variety of massive vehicles and ludicrously powerful items like the Emeralds to suffocate Bowser through sheer force of numbers.

Bowser has an advantage with his army being entirely organic while Eggman's is mostly programmed metal, but members like Metal Sonic, Sage, and especially Scratch and Grounder can pick up the slack and weedle down Bowser's minions. In the end Bowser would have to either focus on helping his army to gain the upper hand or continue focus on fighting Eggman, and could not manage to do both without becoming highly vulnerable.

Obviously the two share the same weakness of their emotions getting the best of them and making them far less calm and collected. (a character defined by their complicated emotions? Never seen that before…..) However, Eggman has been far more successful even with his childish moments and reactions than Bowser has on multiple occasions. Even when unsuccessful in the end, Robotnik has repeatedly defeated, captured, tortured, and nearly killed Sonic across multiple pieces of the franchise, including the OVA, different Sonic cartoons, (at one point almost successfully Robotizing Sonic in SATAM) repeatedly in the Archie Comics, and almost fully converted Sonic with the Metal Virus.

Compared to that, Bowser has nearly wed Peach in the comic Super Mario Adventures, briefly captured the plumbers (and Toad) a few times in the Super Show cartoon, and captured Mario in Super Princess Peach. King Boo has more instances of successfully capturing Mario than Bowser does at this point.

It's an extremely tough call, but without digging too far into the complicated measurements and cosmology that I simply cannot fully follow, my personal verdict at this point is Dr. Ivo Robotnik, Eggman with immense difficulty. I feel he has a better chance of breaking Bowser's focus and patience and exploiting it before Bowser can use enough of his arsenal to get to Eggman and defeat him. If this were solely based on their hand to hand prowess and capabilities, Bowser would thoroughly scramble Robotnik into runny eggs.

As always, I have to cover one specific wincon here and why I think it wouldn't work. I do not think Eggman would attempt to expose Bowser or his army to the Metal Virus in an attempt to convert and control him. Losing control of the Virus and it spreading so quickly without any way of preventing or curing it meant using it on as extremely powerful a foe as Bowser would simply make him a massive biohazard, who would then be focused on attacking and infecting Eggman as quickly as possible. With no way to stop or control it, Eggman would be overwhelmed himself and converted, “killing” them both.

However Bowser once cosplayed as a Nazi so he automatically would lose for being a horrible monster.

The Mario Fan

My first time deciding a verdict, and wow this sure is a pickle! Bowser and Dr. Robotnik basically have a group of hax and other junk to throw at each other. So what do I think of, so let’s go blow by blow.

The Stats:

This one is a little bit tragic as a Mario Fan, but I feel that the Marioverse gets rather shafted towards their higher tier strength or durability feats. I already felt that Dreams in Mario vs. debating was already like walking through a minefield, but in a debate where this matters. I feel that the dreams in the Mario franchise are probably still not going to give the King of Awesome the victory he deserves.

And in terms of speed… it’s MOTHERTRUCKING Super Sonic with the Immeasurable feats for Baldy McNosehair. If you thought OTHERWISE, I’m kinda shocked…

Powers, Weapons, and Army:

It’s pretty easy to say, but we obviously know that Bowser and Dr. Ego-man have a big arsenal, but let’s talk ‘bout it like this…

“Most of their stuff won’t matter in my own opinion. I doubt Bowser’s wedding drip or Fish Badnik with legs are going to sway the outcome in their favour.”

In terms of powers and resistances, uhhh… Bowser obviously actually has POWERS and would resist more of Dr R’s basic gear. While Eggster has basically no powers… neat resistances tho.

However in arsenal and army, it’s clear that Dr. Predictable has way more of an edge with his stats, and is definitely way smarter than Bowser in terms of book smarts. So while I think Bowser would probably use his reality warping BS at some point in case he’s in a jam or just getting bored or somethin’. Egghead over here, is prolly going to use his debatably better arsenal more strategically than Bowser ever could to annihilate his army.

I guess this also applies to super forms, I feel Lightman’s more powerful thanks to the everlooming power of Super Sonic scaling.

Conclusion w/ Tertiary Factors:

Despite Eggy’s troops and mechs being superior. Bowser is more skilled and his troops are way more loyal than the Empire’s best troops.

If you want more info on why I came to this, just read the other verdicts that are pro-Egg.

Also this is so surreal writing this.

Yeah, uhhh… Eggman (there I said his name) wins.

Round1

Alright. Time for me to write a Verdict on one of my favorite matches over the years, that being Bowser vs Eggman. With such a large amount of stuff to go over, what else can I say but…lets-a-go?

Starting off, let's cover the easiest aspect to decipher: Stats. As far as strength, speed, and durability go, Bowser and Eggman are surprisingly pretty much even. Both of them scale to the brunt of their Cosmology, whether it be from Bowser's constant battles with Mario or Eggman's duels with Super Sonic. This includes individual universes, alternate timelines, higher dimensions, dream arguments, all of space and time…you get the picture. This also extends to speed, where both can contend with attacks that cross the universe in seconds, or simply move at potentially infinite speeds. Any high-end argument you can push one character to is often matched with similar logic and feats, meaning stats are basically even for the most part. Thus, it comes to other factors to decide the battle.

Now we come to their abilities and arsenal. Starting with their armies, while Eggman certainly holds impressive armies and warriors like Metal Sonic on his hands, Bowser just has FAR more and far better to pull from. For example, you could bring up how Eggman has several Super Sonic level mechs, like the Egg Salamander or the Egg Wizard. He could even clone other threats like Perfect Chaos or otherwise if needed, and make clones of all of this with the Phantom Ruby. However, none of this can match Bowser in this way. For starters, while Eggman can create pretty much limitless clones with the Phantom Ruby, Bowser can do the same thing from several angles, like just summoning more allies, having them summon more allies, using his magic for Cloning, and so many more ways to match and eventually overwhelm Eggman’s forces once he gets the Ruby out of the way.

As for Eggman potentially jumping Bowser with his strongest robots, this isn't that much of a problem for a few reasons. One, he hasn't exactly shown he can do this in canon, and any robot or scheme that could would require time to set up instead of fighting Bowser. Even if he could, that would make things worse, as several of Bowsers minions can simple possess his machines or transmute them, taking them out of the fight, or switching them over to Bowser's side entirely. Even worse, you have several opponents like the Shy Guys preventing Eggman from using certain powers, the Boos just coming back at any time due to their immortality or phasing through Eggman’s attacks to possess any of his soldiers or gear, or any of his high-tier officers like King Boo doing the same on far higher scales. This also extends to Kamek and the Koopalings, who can not only transmute any of these at will, but in Kameks case, he can swap or steal Eggman’s items whenever he wants, meaning the Chaos Emeralds and all their powers could just serve Bowser instead.

All of this is really just the tip of the iceberg, as Bowsers litany of minions include powers like boosting powers, nullifying status effects, inflicting their own like in the Boo's scream, creating illusions, making his enemies sleep, healing his allies, trapping/sealing his foes like with King Boo, BFR, and several more methods of possessing, transmuting, nullifying, or stealing his gear at any time. Eggman's own arsenal is at a severe disadvantage, as his armies and Airships have nowhere NEAR that kind of versatility. While his Shadow Androids and clones of villains through tech or the Ruby are formidable, Bowser Can clone his own allies just the same, and they naturally are more versatile. Eggman’s robots also have virtually no defense against the variety of hax Bowsers buddies can Dish out, or against status effects for that matter.

Eggman’s best options in this way would be utilizing his trump cards, like Metal Sonic's copy abilities, the Metal Virus, Sage, the Phantom Ruby/Lightman, the Time Eater, and his Emeralds or Time Stones. However, all of these have one thing in common: Eggman is SORELY inexperienced in utilizing their full potential, and mostly goes for simple strategies as opposed to haxy win-conditions. Metal Sonic's traits can easily be nullified or blocked by Bowser's minions, and the Emeralds or Time Stones can simply be stolen at will before Eggman can really put them to use beyond just powering his machines. Sage's cyber corruption and ability to run several simulations is impressive, but she can't do this very well with limited data on the length of Bowsers arsenal or how many minions he has with their own unique powers. As for corruption or the Metal Virus, both of which would be deadly in Crowd Control, Bowser has tricks to nullify powers like the Corruption, and could simply BFR any infected with the Virus, transmute it away, or fling it right back to Eggman, who can't actually control it. Sage could theoretically hack Bowsers tech, but in the same way, Bowser could fuse with Eggman’s machines with something like the Wonder Flower, and he doesn't use tech nearly as much as Eggman does

As for the Phantom Ruby and Time Eater, Bowser shares many of the formers abilities, and can steal it at any point with allies like Kamek. The Time Eater is certainly formidable, but Bowser has the Pure Hearts, which were made with the literal purpose to stop something like that, and they have survived similar time wiping effects before, albeit needing to recharge afterwards. Even then, Eggman doesn't really utilize that as his first trick when battling Super Sonic, so it's likely Bowser could take it down before being negatively affected himself.

Lightman is the same problem, where he hasn't shown defenses to any of Bowsers powers like possession or nullifying his powers outright, and hasn't been imaginative enough in his own right.

Even setting all their allies' powers aside, Bowser has equally as versatile and deadly magic on his person, and his several methods to boost all of this leave Eggman constantly on the back foot, and going for strategies he's never had to implement before. All of his allies are already inferior versions of Bowser’s own, with no defenses against his hax or strategies to circumvent them. With so many Stat boosts, counters, and duplicating allies, it's only a matter of time before Eggman’s arsenal is overwhelmed. Even if he somehow managed to kill Bowser, he would simply restart the fight with his Retry Clocks or Earlier Times, let alone his potential infinite lives.

Finally, when covering intelligence and experience, both are fairly similar. While Eggman is certainly smarter, both have their fair share of idiotic moments when dueling the Protagonist. The difference is Eggman doing so here is already detrimental when Bowser has so many other advantages, and he has a history of not looking at the bigger picture, which even his allies like Starline can see. Against someone just as strong and far more versatile in both powers and army, this will only serve for the worse. This is especially the case when Bowser has been fighting Mario for his entire life, and fought a far more varied bevy of foes, including against villains like Eggman such as his dark self.

Ultimately, Bowser simply holds all the cards necessary to win. His matching stats allow him to put his army to the test, and use their powers (stealing weapons, Cloning, possession, stat-boosting, status effects, etc) which Eggman can't defend against or survive in any metric. His options for support like healing and Stat boosting counter Eggman’s own support, and he has several options for his greatest threats like the Time Eater. Even if he somehow lost, Bowser has several methods to restart the battle, or to just revive his enemies at will. Combine all of this with Eggman’s tunnel vision and limited experience in fighting such a foe, and there's not much Ivo can do but scramble around until he's fried.

The winner…is King Bowser.

An Average Person

Alright so- This ones a very special mu to me. It IS my most wanted after all haha- So with that outta the way... *SHOWTIME!*

For starters, both are VERY even in stats. For strength, it's gonna have to go to the Koopa king. While you CAN argue that Eggmans best machines are crazy powerful, which they are. Bowser himself has feats that could scale beyond anything that Eggmans best could achieve. Plus- Bowser has shown this on a more consistent scale.

But for speed, it's gonna have to go to the Emperor Of Eggs. While Bowser is pretty impressive in speed, Eggman scales to Super Sonic. Which- I mean come on. ITS SUPER SONIC.

So Bowser takes strength and Eggman takes speed, so who wins? Well that's gonna come down to hax/abilities. Both of these fighters have MANY and I mean *MANY* abilities that counter each other through and through. However, Bowser has EVERYTHING he needed to take down the Eggman.

For starters, Bowser has survived ENDLESS ways of death and came out unscathed, and theres even an argument that says that he has an INFINTE amount of lives. While the Phantom Ruby, Chaos Emeralds and such are definitely strong items, Bowser just has a much more overwealming arsenal that makes killing the King Koopa INCREADIBLY hard. And even IF Eggman had enough to take him down once,  Bowser can just simply restart the fight with his Retry Clocks or Earlier Times and Eggman would have to repeat the process! And that's not even mentioning the magic Bowser carries around. Especially Kamek, who could easily just turn all of eggmans arsenal into bricks or even slippers! Or even be able to steal powerful items such as the Chaos Emeralds and Phantom Ruby!

And with expirience, while Eggman IS smarter, Bowser has been fighting Mario for his entire life, and has fought a much more wider army of foes!

Eggman made this debate a VERY close one, but Bowsers Strength, Arsenal, And Expirience proved that if anyone's gonna win this fight, it was gonna be the king of the Koopas.

Looks Like Bowser was just- NO YOLK in this one!

The Winner Is BOWSER

Dirtlock

Eggman has the IQ and Sonic's cosmology in the bag, his main wincins appear to be the Time Eater, the Phantom Ruby, and the Metal Virus

However, Bowser has advantage and strength and durability, since he just refuses to die. Wonder Flowers operate kind of similarly to the Phantom Ruby, possibly canceling it out. Time Eater cluld possibly erase Bowser, but he has been shown to resist erasure before, not to mention revival options like the retry clocks. The Metal Virus seems to be the one thing he can't resist, but there is chance his army might take the brunt of it while he stays back. Egghead had many options at his disposal to put the King of the Koopas down, but Bowser's durability, sheer strength, and determination kept him on his throne.

We all need to take a bow sirs, For a the koopa king's horses and all the king's men, they couldn't put Eggman back together again

The winner is Bowser

Dominator

Before I can get into the verdict I just wanna say that I am very happy to help with this blog. This matchup and these characters mean a lot to so many people and it’s an honor to help finally decide who wins this battle of gaming greatest villains.

To start off with Intelligence, obviously Eggman takes the overall edge in this due to his nature as a genius inventor, but I don’t think this necessarily means he’ll definitely have the edge against Bowser who definitely has just as much if not more intelligence when it comes to the battlefield and commanding their armies. Bowser is also a much more skilled and experienced direct fighter than Eggman with having much more fights just on his own while Eggman always relies on his mechs. So in this regard I’ll say that both have their advantages over the other, as aforementioned Eggman has greater overall intelligence, both have similar amounts of intelligence when commanding their armies, and Bowser is a more skilled fighter.

Now when it comes to stats for strength I’d say Bowser has the edge here. For a matchup like this where both characters are nearly at the top of the food chain in their verse, it comes down to the cosmologies of both series, and to me Mario has more convincing arguments for higher multiversal AP. Sonic does have arguments for multi+ but they aren’t as concrete as Matio’s at least to me. Speed on the other hand is more tricky. In terms of finite ends Bowser once again has the edge with Rosalina scaling getting him higher into quadrillion times ftl than Eggman with Solaris scaling. For infinite and immeasurable speeds for both I think Eggman has the edge here. I think infinite speed Bowser is fair, but even then Eggman has arguments for immeasurable speed, but so does Bowser. I think in terms of overall speed I buy both being dead even if not Bowser being faster.

Armies are a monumental factor not only in the debate but also with how many units both have at their disposal. Both have heavy hitters on the frontlines like Kamek, Bowser Jr, and The Koopalings for Bowser and Sage and Metal Sonic for Eggman, all of which would be useful in the battle. So with this I think it comes down to the smaller pieces of their armies, and once again both are not slacking in this either with Bowser’s large variety of minions and Eggman’s large variety of badniks. I wouldn’t really give either a definitive advantage when it comes to their armies since both are very impressive and useful to get the victory.

So overall what I think this debate really comes down to is hax and abilities, and in my opinion Bowser holds this advantage. Not counting Bowser and Eggman themselves, their units and armies have plenty of hax and counters to each other's abilities, so no one could really get an edge here. But Bowser’s reality warping and magic could completely screw over Eggman in ways he’d have difficulty dealing with such as the pure hearts. Eggman does wincons with his own weapons such as the time eater, but even then I see Bowser’s coming in handy more often than not to increase his momentum and eventually land a killing blow on Eggman which would be way easier to due than the other way around due to Bowser’s durability and immortality.

So overall, Dr. Ivory Robotnik had the brains and army to crack The King Koopa’s shell for good, but Bowser’s own army, strength, and abilities allowed him to hard boil this egg and feed it to Jr. for breakfast.

The winner is Bowser.

Okay so...thanks to SKK for bringing me on, but since I felt ill when I was supposed to write this, here's a very short version of my opinions.

For starters, the year Jack Black starred in Kung Fu Panda, Jim Carrey starred in Horton Hears a Who. Therefore Bowser just straight up wins, don't @ me. (...then again Sonic 3's coming out this year and Kung Fu Panda 4 was...uh...)

For a slightly more intelligent answer, I'm leaning Bowser. He has some disadvantages in ways the other verdicts put it that I just don't have the energy to elaborate on. But Eggman's advantages can also be considered exhaustible, or even destructible, resources. Such as the ability to travel through time at a whim or transmute the enemy. The other stats basically just come down to who's using which power or mech or MacGuffin in the moment, but your average Magikoopa (of which Bowser has plenty) can do just about as much to screw over Eggman as a lot of his better stuff as the Egg Salamander. Then you get Dreamy Bowser and the entire Nightmare Eggman situation being FAR more limited...and so on, and so on, and so on.

With extreme difficulty but more reliability in the outcome, the winner is Bowser. Now go away and let me try to erase the Knuckles show from my memory.

SonallyKingKataang

I'll be brief since this is long enough as it is, but Eggman wins, them clones be crazy powerful, egg field and time eater too. The fact that Eggman can make as many of Super Sonic lvl clones as he wants with Lightman seals the deal for me. Eggman w.

(Note I had three personal friends who helped me make this blog, because their huge Mario and Sonic fans, so they wanted to be a part of verdicts and they pretty much agreed)

SO let's tally the votes

Bowser, 7 votes

Eggman, 7 votes

...........

Okay, I was not planning for this....alright to be fair, without my three friends, Bowser won, without that. So overall I'm giving it to Bowser.

I would like to finish this blog properly but with all the stuff I written, this blog is now moving slow as I type.

Its hard to say both have ways to get around each other ways Bowser has more powers and items to get buffs and also debuffs to his foes and others. But Eggman is show to be far more smarter and proivde a lot more plans also has much better army than Bowers but its hard to say i did heads or tails and i got heads for Bowser so i went him this one is hard to figure out i say Bowser

Why is most of this stuff pulled straight from vswiki... this needed WAY more time to cook.
